I am honoured to announce I’ve been appointed as a member to the Order of Canada. Thank you to everyone for the support! I dedicate this to my late Mom who taught me so much about history, local independent media & research. I know that she would be, like me, screaming with joy!

"Vancouver, B.C., Canada", a Natural Color Productions Ltd. card (no. S-970) which looks modern (as a card) but also prehistoric (as an image of Vancouver). As the text on the card notes, "the City annually hosts thousands of visitors from all over the world, who arrive in ships like the 'Canberra' (seen in the Inlet)." S.S. Canberra was an English-registered P&O liner and cruise ship from 1961-97 (other than a short stint as a troop ship in the Falklands War).

🥧Pies are being served... but who's getting hit? May is #MiningMonth in BC, and AME is proud to kick it off by supporting @Mining4Miracles, a fantastic initiative dedicated to raising funds for @BCCHF. This year, our own Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Jonathan Buchanan and Board Director Janice Fingler are facing off in a pie-throwing showdown! The top fundraiser gets spared. The other?🥧 Whether you're looking to save your favourite or see them get pie-d, your donation makes all the difference. Donate by Friday, May 30 to support this great cause: Jonathan's page: secure.bcchf.ca/SuperheroPages… Janice's page: secure.bcchf.ca/SuperheroPages… #Mining4Miracles

At the #KEG2025 conference, AME Chair Trish Jacques took to the stage to highlight the importance of certainty in the regulatory environment in advancing exploration across British Columbia. The AME team had an excellent time connecting with members and conference attendees and we thank you for your valuable feedback. If you haven’t yet, stop by our Booth 27 at the tradeshow before 4 PM today to connect with the team and say hello! @KamloopsExplora

A successful mineral exploration sector will help government meet its critical mineral and social goals. But there are many challenges facing us. Today we sat down with newly appointed Minister of Mines and Critical Minerals to talk about solutions. We’re working on behalf of our members to ensure that the Mineral Tenure Act modernization is implemented in a way that is consistent with the justice Ross decision by March 2025. We shared why we can’t afford to get it wrong and how our industry is willing to help build a new path forward that doesn’t leave reconciliation behind. Thank you to Minister Jagrup Brar for taking the time in your first week to meet with us. @AME_BC @JagrupBrar1 @JBExplores

Last week I visited the "Station Rail Voyage" a popup museum using the old Hung Hom platforms to exhibit old Hong Kong railway rolling stock for a few months. A picture thread of my experience.
