@hasankhyber This is a strategic move by Afghan MOD. It suggests they may be expanding their operations to target alleged terrorist networks operating in Pakstan This indicate a shift in strategy from direct confrontation with Pak forces to focusing on dismantling suspected militant hideouts

The Afghan Taliban claimed to have conducted airstrikes inside Pakistan targeting - what the Ministry of Defense described as - hideouts of Daesh khorasan (ISKP). According to the Taliban, the strikes targeted locations in Qila Saifullah and Chaghi districts of Balochistan, as well as Khyber district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Taliban Defense Ministry alleged that these sites were being used by terrorist networks to plan and launch attacks inside Afghanistan and claimed that several high value ISKP targets were eliminated. The Taliban warned that it would not tolerate terrorist sanctuaries across the border. Interestingly, Pakistan has remained silent so far, reportedly dismissing the claims as "cheap propaganda" that does not merit a response. These weird claims by Taliban seems to be encouraging or justifying Pakistan airstrikes inside Afghanistan against TTP/BLA hideouts.

In a land mark development, khyber Pakhtunkhwa has established a Special Combat Unit of 400 highly trained personnel to conduct targeted counterterrorism operations. Under the rules, the unit will be exempted from routine policing duties, including VIP security, checkpoint operations, and polio vaccination assignments. Instead, it will focus exclusively on intelligence-led operations against terrorist networks. The 400 members of the unit have been selected from the Elite Force through a rigorous screening process involving medical, psychological and physical endurance tests. The Police Policy Board, chaired by Inspector General of Police Zulfiqar Hameed, has formally approved the unit's rules and regulations. @KP_Police1 @CSKPOfficial

@hasankhyber @PakistanUN_NY What’s the achievement here? Pak’s law enforcement agencies continue security failures & unable to maintain law-order in KP and Balochistan. Instead of strengthening national security, passing unnecessary and propagandistic bills won’t address the country’s real challenges.

A big achievement for Pakistan. Well done @PakistanUN_NY passing a consensus resolution expressing the UN Security Council serious concern over presence of terrorists groups in Afghanistan. The resolution say elements in Taliban are actively collaborating with the terror groups proving them safe havens inside Afghanistan. The resolution say TTP, AlQaeda, Majeed Brigade ASIL K, ETIM operate from Afghanistan with impunity and responsible cross border terrorists attacks targetting Pakistan civilians, law enforcement personnel and critical infrastructure. @ForeignOfficePk #Pakistan #afghanistan #taliban
Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, PR of Pakistan to the UN@PakistanPR_UN

The UNAMA resolution, adopted today by consensus, expresses the Security Council's serious concern over the presence of terrorist groups in Afghanistan, which continue to pose a grave threat to international peace and security. It is, indeed, deeply concerning that the elements within the Taliban regime are actively collaborating with several terrorist groups and providing them with safe havens. The TTP, BLA, Majid Brigade, ISIL-K, Al-Qaida and ETIM continue to operate with impunity inside Afghanistan. Many of these terrorist groups are responsible for cross-border terrorist attacks targeting Pakistani civilians and law enforcement personnel, including critical infrastructure and public places.

A bill has been introduced in the US Congress to prohibit the administration from recognizing the Taliban led Islamic Emirate as the legitimate government of Afghanistan. The legislation has been referred to the relevant congressional committees for review. Introduced by House Representative Nancy Mace, the bill is officially titled the "Preventing the Recognition of Terrorist States Act," although some reports have referred to it as the "No Recognition of Terrorist Governments Act." If approved by both the House and the Senate and signed into law by the President, the legislation would prohibit any US federal agency from taking actions that explicitly or implicitly recognize Taliban administration over Afghanistan. It would also bar the State Department, USAID, and the Department of Defense from using federal funds to develop or implement policies aimed at recognizing the Taliban government. In addition, the bill would require the US Secretary of State to designate the Taliban-controlled regime as a State Sponsor of Terrorism, while the Taliban itself would be designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) under U.S. law. At this stage, however, the bill remains a legislative proposal and has not yet become law.

#Pakistan casts doubt on #UNAMA's claims that civilian casualties occurred during this week's cross-border military strikes targeting suspected terrorist positions in #Afghanistan. “We acted on credible intelligence…What is their (UNAMA) methodology of measuring that, because our strikes were precise and targeted at the hideouts and camps of the terrorist elements?" Foreign Ministry spokesman @TahirAndrabi told a weekly news conference Thursday.
Ayaz Gul@AyazGul64

The UN office in #Afghanistan claimed Thursday that it had documented 13 civilian deaths & 10 injuries, including among women and children, resulting from #Pakistan’s airstrikes carried out on the night of June 9–10. The #UNAMA findings lend support to de facto Taliban authorities’ allegations that the attack in their border provinces of Khost, Kunar and Paktika caused civilian casualties. Pakistani govt maintains that its “precise and calibrated” strikes eliminated hideouts linked to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (#TTP), killing 26 militants involved in planning and directing deadly bombings and other terrorist activities inside Pakistan. The Afghan provinces are known to have long hosted TTP commanders and training centers, allegedly with the backing of the ruling Afghan Taliban.

Incident Report – Alleged Human Rights Violations Against Civilians in Khost Province Issued by the International Human Rights Foundation (IHRF) In the early morning of 10 June 2026, at approximately 04:45 AM local time, Pakistani military forces reportedly carried out artillery shelling targeting the Sadiq Gharab locality of Alisher District, Khost Province, Afghanistan. According to credible local sources, the attack struck a civilian residential area, resulting in the deaths of three children and injuries to at least six other civilians. The use of heavy artillery in or near populated civilian areas raises grave concerns about deliberate or indiscriminate targeting of non-combatants, which may constitute serious violations of international humanitarian law (IHL) and fundamental human rights principles. Border community reports indicate that this incident is part of a recurring pattern of cross-border shelling affecting civilian populations across several Afghan provinces, including Paktia, Paktika, Khost, Nangarhar, and Kunar. These repeated attacks have reportedly led to civilian casualties, destruction of homes and property, and forced displacement—compelling many residents to abandon their homes in search of safety. Under international humanitarian law, all parties to a conflict are obligated to distinguish between civilian populations and military objectives and to ensure that attacks do not disproportionately harm civilians. Indiscriminate attacks on populated areas and the targeting of civilian infrastructure may amount to war crimes and serious breaches of human rights obligations. The IHRF urgently calls upon relevant international and regional human rights mechanisms, including the UN Human Rights Council and the International Criminal Court, to investigate these incidents, document evidence of civilian harm, and ensure accountability for those responsible. Immediate protective measures must also be implemented to safeguard civilians in border communities who continue to face the threat of cross-border attacks. 🇦🇫🇵🇰 Pakistan’s war with Afghanistan just escalated again. Islamabad launched new airstrikes across Khost, Kunar, and Paktika after accusing Kabul of sheltering militants behind deadly attacks inside Pakistan. Afghanistan says at least 13 civilians were killed, including 11 children, while Pakistan says it killed 26 militants and destroyed camps, a hideout, a training center, and an ammunition cache. The fighting has already displaced more than 100,000 people, and peace talks continue to fail. Source: Sky News / Writer: Sol

⭕️ Afghanistan condemned Pakistan’s overnight airstrikes in the eastern provinces of Kunar, Khost, and Paktika that the government says killed 13 civilians — 11 of them children. Taliban government spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said Pakistani aircraft struck civilian homes, also wounding 14 women and children, and called the attacks a “humanitarian crime.” Pakistan had not commented on the allegations at the time of publication. The claims come amid ongoing tensions over Islamabad’s accusations that anti-Pakistan militants operate from Afghan territory. ⚠️ Graphic images: Afghan government spokesman shared the photographs, which show some of the children killed in the attacks.

Based on credible intelligence, selective targeting of camps and hideouts was carried out with precision and accuracy. Four targets were completely destroyed including a training centre, a hide out & an ammunition cache and Marakiz belonging to Fitna Al Khwarij Commander Aleem Khan Khushali and Commander Akhtar Muhammad Jani Khel. Pakistan has always strived for maintaining peace and stability in the region, but at the same time the safety and security of our citizens remains our top priority.
