@housecor I'd love to see anyone debug, or even understand, an 1890 line long function with nesting 30 levels deep and cyclomatic complexity over 180. Oh, and this is in a file >15900 lines long with other notemares! SMALL functions, ppl. SMALL FUNCTIONS!!! For the love of God, small!!!

@potus @realDonaldTrump could plummet, if we had reliable, high capacity factor power like nuclear, in EVERY SINGLE STATE. Instead of $0.15-0.43/khw, we could potentially have just a few cents per khw, and no need for inane things like TOU billing. Bring energy back to the 🇺🇸!

@POTUS @realDonaldTrump is there any way you could commission a study on how much "renewables" contribute to instabilities in power grids, as well as into how we could reinvigorate our power grid and needs with MODERN nuclear reactors (i.e. modular throium)? Energy costs 2/🧵

@POTUS @realDonaldTrump Lately I've been seeing warnings that our power grid is likely incapable of handling this summer's cooling power load. Especially in the north-east grid region. This country needs RELIABLE power! LOTS of it, too, if we bring mfg home. President, 1/🧵

@Armandotrue Interesting. Demonstrates a curious gap in TypeScript decorator typing capabilities. Well, most things are moving functional in Angular, which I'm quite happy about. I use `inject()` for pretty much everything these days. Works really well with actual functions!

`inject` is better for type-safety than constructor-based injection when it comes to `InjectionToken`-s:

Maybe Angular is the best and most compliant framework 😂

@Armandotrue @defer ...hmm.... Now you got me thinking... From a pure html standpoint, I guess they are just text nodes!! 🧐 Whaaat...! 🤓

@JonRistaDev @defer I mean philosophically speaking, the new control flow syntax is not against the standard, nothing prohibits me from putting the text "@else {" for example somewhere between HTML tags 😁

@Armandotrue I'm pretty sure it was. All angular template syntax before the newer control flow directives, we're all standards compliant. Even binding syntax. The new control flow & @defer are not, though. I do like them better, but, I still lament the loss of standards compliance

@JonRistaDev `if` statements were not designed for HTML, Angular templates WERE A MISTAKE 😁

@JAtanackov Thanks for the additional plots. This cycle looks so unusual compared to previous cycles. Even compared to SC24, which was heavily bimodal... Wonder if it will look more normal by EOY, or if it will still look strange...

The first and second peak of SC23 were in April 2000 (smoothed SN=175.2) and November 2001 (SN=180.3), respectively. That's 32 and 63 months into the cycle. We are currently 64 months into SC25, which is also (barely) double-peaked: first peak (shoulder) was in June 2023 (SN=125.3, 24 months into the cycle), the second possibly in October 2024 (59 months into the cycle). In both cases the double peak was cause by offset peaks in the northern and southern hemisphere. Right now the NH and SH are similarly active, having synchronised quite soon after the 2nd peak.

April 2024 ends with a monthly sunspot number 140.6. As solar cycles & maxima go, it's a 3.6. We are nearly certainly past the solar maximum, which most probably took place in late 2024. Activity has been steadily decreasing over the past 6 months. SC25 is tracking below the prediction by @swmcintosh, @leamonrj & Egeland and well above the NOAA/NASA/ISES prediction (shifted -6 months). And it is still tracking (and will continue to) below the average solar cycle since 1750. Why don't we get SC25 over with and start SC26 asap? :)

@TonyClimate Politicians violating the laws they swore to uphold makes any actions that violated them ILLEGITIMATE. You should know that, Tony. This country has countless laws about immigration, and countless were VIOLATED for years at both federal and state levels.

They were encouraged to come here by the US and state governments, including your state. You can be angry at people like Biden and Polis, but blaming the people who came here at their behest is ridiculous and denial of US government culpability.

@TonyClimate They broke the law and do not deserve citizenship. End of discussion.

@Armandotrue You make a good point here actually. I agree, they should be immutable. We'll, from within anyway, still writable from a parent.

I don't necessarily agree with this one, inputs being mutable has been a source of lots of troubles in previous years, and I love that they are now immutable. If we introduce a type of input that is mutable people will revert to just using it. Making it a 2-step process with the input itself clearly remaining immutable is better in my opinion, makes devs more mindful with such decisions

On the topic of `linkedSignal`-s, if you have a signal input, which you want to be mutable, you can simply use a linked signal:

@ThePatriotOasis Those kind, not in the least. It's an instant turnoff for me. Sleeves, full body, etc. Yuk. I don't mind a little thing here or there. But skin spanning ink, not a fan.🤮

@JAtanackov Also, look at how wide the peaks are back through all the prior cycles on the historical graph... Doesn't SC25's peak seem very narrow, in comparison? Not the whole cycle... Just the span through peak...

@JAtanackov Just curious...the gap between the two peaks in SC23 and SC23... How long were those? Months? Or a year? There is a fairly common bimodality to solar cycles. Are we between modes right now?

@MattBornong @JAtanackov @e_philalethes @smAshomAsh @RealDutchsinse Two weeks ago, five weeks ago?? The video I linked was from 2023... 🤔 I'm starting to think you are just another angry, triggered individual. I can't be wasting my time running around in circles with someone who's only going to lash out and spit fire because of a 90s quake...
