She suffered massive blood loss and died on the spot. A 58-year-old man was also stabbed during the incident but suffered only minor wounds. The attacker was arrested by Spanish police shortly afterwards, which was recorded on video. Numerous social media reports indicate the man is North African, but so far, there has been no confirmation.

Knifeman slices woman’s throat in deadly daytime attack at Brit tourist hotspot as cops arrest suspect after he fled.
The knifeman has been arrested after he allegedly slashed the throat of a woman in broad daylight in Barcelona.
The fatal attack happened at around 11am, in Esplugues de Llobregat, in the Catalan province, with the victim found on the street after being stabbed multiple times.

Footage shows one vehicle completely engulfed in flames with thick black smoke rising over the residential road, before the Met Police established a cordon around the scene with multiple vehicles charred and windows blown out.
