Nintendo’s American team was crammed in a warehouse trying to name a little red-capped character called “Jumpman.” Then their landlord stormed in, furious about late rent. His name was Mario. That’s it. That’s how the most famous character in gaming got his name.

@c_h_e_m @DanWhyski @ClownWorld My guess for the glasses was based on the camera movement - which a body cam can't really do unless you mount it on a gimbal. ... which I actually have myself - complete with automatic face tracking - but it'd be a bit cumbersome for day-to-day use.

Why do people feel the need to try to make fun of things they have no idea about? This is the frog in the boiling water effect. People don’t understand what’s coming.

Is the Tesla windshield protection plan worth it? I did sign up for the tire plan, but never did the glass. Starting to think its probably not a bad idea to get this as well... $16 monthly is pretty reasonable

@HackingDave I got you beat: my bedroom TV has Copilot. I got curious to see what it would do if I tried to open the app. It immediately asked for permission to access the camera and mic.... Wait. Camera? What camera? Supposedly their isn't one and the app is just stupid but wtf?

Already repeated a few times, its a estimate default, and we both know that you know what a estimate is. Mine had that when i went in and when they were done they 0'd it out because it was under warranty. They don't even make you pay out upfront so its literally just a text item on your app.

@ogre_codes @contractorsPOV Honestly the past few builds have been shit for overheat protection. Sometimes it will turn on but other times it wont kick off and climb the truck to 150. Unless this is burning systems out, I have a battery setting already that says stop at 20%.. otherwise do your job.

So how does my cabin get to 149° if my cabin overheat protection is on? I mean, that's exactly what I'm trying to prevent.

@jeremyjudkins_ @EVject Only notable thing I would say here is that its for superchargers, it being designed to not perfectly work with home chargers is fine.

I’ve never seen a competitor to @EVject and at first glance this one is pretty compelling because it’s not single use. It appears to be a spring loaded device that pops off when you unlock your Tesla’s charge port. That being said it appears to be 3D printed, low quality, and they sell it for $85. According to reviews it doesn’t even fit the Cybertruck and doesn’t support various adapters. Plus people claim it doesn’t even work with home chargers because it’s not the same shape charging handle as a supercharger. I would assume @evject thought about all this and that’s why they designed the breakaway adaptor that would offer the most compatibility and be the most reliable.

Announcement: I am pleased to announce my new range of SwiftyNet firewalls. The new range of SwiftyNet firewalls are air gapped by design (they have no ports), tactile toggle switches as used by actual cyber pros....and most important of all. The 'Secure' toggle switch; this powerful and innovative switch ensures C-suits everywhere can rest assured maximum security is being applied at all times.

@KlaimGames This, the work being demanded of a single dev is increasing in complexity and intensity. AI is helping carry some of that load for what is SUPPOSED to be a better QoL at the end.

Im a dev with a decade of experience I can tell you this: most devs use ai In fact, about 80% of career devs use AI Everything made by more than a singular dev has ai code in it. Every single layer of what you use has AI in it. Artists said no to ai, and people respect that Musicians said no to ai, and people respect that Developers said yes to ai, and people need to respect that too Because to us, its a tool. Not a replacement. This is the distinction

The Starlink stress test begins. At home I keep a ~50tb NAS that keeps all of my client &. creative media. This NAS is synced offsite to another NAS via the internet. > Film & Create content > Offload footage to Home NAS > NAS sends media offsite immediately It's not uncommon to shoot 1tb in a day of work, which all gets sent offsite. We're about to see what Starlink is capable of 🤝

Tesla had similar issues early on, unfortunately, this is likely lack to experience on this specific type of product where these queries are likely constantly going out checking if you’re nearby and not doing it correctly. Obviously I’m kind of taking a shot in the dark because I’m not there to see what signals it’s sending or anything like that.
