Stock Cybertrucks crushed the trails in Tillamook Forest. Some had aftermarket wheels and tires, but Brandon, @scottbuscemi, and others factory wheels and tires with 20k+ miles. One spot had a 20+ degree slope, 23-degree roll, and muddy trails from Friday's rain. Hard for video to do this stuff justice.

Without the need for a single touch, including the charger.” — Elon Musk... in 2016 This is what I'm talking about. It's been like this for 10 years. v14.3 was supposed to be the next big step. - FSD is fantastic. - Love my Cybertruck. - I think Tesla is going to continue to do awesome stuff. - I have no idea when that will happen or even what awesome stuff. Just late last year Elon said in just a few months we'd be able to sleep at the wheel or text and drive. Elon has a long track record of buying into his own hype. We have yet to see there even is a robotaxi market near as big as Elon thinks. We have yet to see humanoid robots capable of replacing basic human tasks effectively. Will it be another 10 years before that happens? It's an investment, not a religion. Tesla is still by far my largest investment, but until we see some catalysts the stock is going to continue to be listless.

It’s only hard to keep excited if you don’t believe in the company. Valuation is about what you think a company is worth in the future based on what they’re building not what they currently have today. You sound you like you don’t care about what they’re building. They went from concept of Cybercab to reality in 18 months. Most concept cars never even see the light of day. They went from 11 unsupervised cars to 175 registered and 4 cities in a year, something no AV compass ever done. They just had their best Q2 ever. FSD is in 13 countries now. They’re building two Optimus factories, a chip factory and ramping up production at all facilities. The list goes on and on.

It's hard to keep excited about a company with constantly sliding deadlines and changing goals. I'm excited about - Robotaxi - Unsupervised FSD - Optimus But Optimus has no actual timeline, Robotaxi has been kind of listless with a handful of cabs wandering a handful of cities without a full service yet. Unsupervised FSD is way overdue and has been kicked down the road for the past 4 years. If we see "Half the population of the country" serviced by Robotaxi end of year, things will move. Or any of the above. Their auto-business has turned sideways and doesn't justify the PE any more.

Most of us don't care as long as people make an effort to minimize the impact. It was frustrating to see one non-Tesla taking two spots, then a second roll it and rather than taking the adjacent spot they left a gap so it also took two stalls. With just the smallest effort they could have made other people's lives easier. That's all I ask is if the option is available to spend a tiny effort to help others you do. Usually it just takes a second or two of actual thinking. And not just thinking of the non-Tesla thing. Just in general... but this too.

Interesting! In my R1T it can be stressful trying to squeeze in close enough to the pedestal to reach without blocking anyone. 😩 Doesnt always work. My new R2 has a driver rear port location so doesnt have this problem at super chargers, but tbh I'm not a fan of the port location. Can make rear cargo access at the charger a pain

The only input I want to provide on this: I charged a lot at old sites with the Cyber on my roadtrip. There were many locations where I had to double park, park on the grass, park sideways, or park oddly to have the connector reach. I 100% blocked stalls... in a Tesla.

The comments on other EVs using the Tesla Supercharging network, with poorly designed port locations and CCS instead of NACS, are interesting. Many companies have since moved to NACS. Some say Tesla opened the Superchargers to others, so it’s Tesla’s problem. If Tesla hadn’t opened them, Elon would be seen as selfish and uncaring about EV adoption rates. Tesla told manufacturers in early 2024 to adopt NACS and standardize charge port locations to avoid this issue. Tesla even spent billions on R&D for V4 chargers to accommodate other vehicles. Tesla has spent ~$10 billion on the Supercharging network, with over 80,000 stalls and growing. Electrify America has spent ~$2 billion with ~4,250 connectors at ~950 stations. Other manufacturers have invested little to boost adoption and are shifting back to hybrids and gas vehicles. Without Tesla’s investment in the Supercharging network, none of us would travel far in our EVs—and that’s the truth.

Who's interested in lightweight not adjustable aluminum roof racks? I couldn't find anything acceptable so I made my own prototype but I'm interested in making a production run. @cybertruck They can be 100% built and welded with pure Cyberpower as well.

Probably a landfill because Tesla isn't creative enough to figure out how to monetize the Cybercab. I've never given an opinion on whether Tesla will put a steering wheel in the Cybercab, but I have indicated that it may be necessary due to the same reasons that Farzad has laid out... The inability of the network to absorb that many vehicles at once. This ain't rocket science. It's a pragmatic problem that's easily solved depending on how things pan out. So why turn it into a tribal issue? I'm not sure what the steering wheel discussion is doing for him and others in the community, but I can't say it's done anything for the community, and it's done nothing for me.

My mom was frustrated at a Tesla Supercharger on her way to visit family, and not for the reason you might think. She called and said, “There’s this other EV that pulled into the Supercharger and is taking up two spaces, and this place is packed! I now have to wait until a spot frees up. It’s so stupid—why did they do that?” I told her about NACS and how most competitors originally had CCS, that whole story. She said, “It’s such a dumb place to put a charge port. Also why would anyone want to buy that???” 🤣 💀 Yeah I agree it was stupid and most don’t want to buy those other EVs, and unfortunately they give a bad rep to great ones like Tesla.
