Face the legal consequences that they attempted to enforce on the victim. It’s an abuse of the legal system, it’s a burden on taxpayers, it’s deeply immoral, and has very real consequences (as serious as death in some situations). If everything this guy claimed is actually fabricated then he owes her tens of millions of dollars. We won’t because we’re a broken society, but there should be a criminal charge for abuse of the legal system.

Ten months ago, Chirayu Rana went to a legal chatbot and asked about suing his former company for sexual abuse. But key details were different. Rana asked about Morgan Stanley, not JP Morgan. Rana worked for both companies. He also made his abuser male rather than female. It’s clear that he was workshopping his story. Otherwise the stories were similar. Conclusive proof he’s lying. This guy deserves to have his life ruined. Do not have mercy in this case.

The plaintiff, Chirayu Rana, is the one who allegedly refused to fully cooperate with JPMorgan’s internal investigation, while the bank says she did. JPMorgan concluded there was no evidence to support his claims and called the lawsuit a fabrication. Just another scammer… He needs to be in prison. How does she recover?

Turns out the story of the year was just...made up. and it gets worse. - John Doe is Chirayu Rana, 35, now a principal at Bregal Sagemount. he left JPMorgan and went straight to private equity. - The whole "threaten his bonus" premise collapsed. Hajdini reported to a completely different managing director than Rana. she had no say over his compensation. - JPMorgan pulled phone records, reviewed emails, interviewed the full team. found nothing. Rana even refused to participate in his own investigation. - A colleague described Rana as "socially awkward" but someone who "met the requirements" to stay at the bank. - Before any lawsuit, he tried to negotiate a payout in the "millions" to leave the bank quietly. they didn't bite. - He filed court filing, then his lawyers retracted it for "corrections" and deleted it. But the Daily Mail already ran the whole thing and the rest twitter did its thing. so he tried to get paid, didn't, then filed a now-retracted complaint against someone who couldn't touch his bonus. wild. feel terrible for her and her family.
