Is it an unspoken rule that every grease gun gets put away when it's empty?

@crreesor Are we comparing technology or production costs? It's never too late to advance technology. N/A mfg. in many fields has very slow response to new or better tech. Japanese developed JIT, 6 Sigma, etc. took N/A years to catch up, some haven't yet.

@crreesor The Chinese are experts at copying (or stealing) other countries tech. Why are N/A mfg not playing the same game? I saw the "industrial espionage" first hand between N/A mfgs. Rather than gov't subsidies for battery plants, provide research financing to develop better a battery.

@Lyonseed Yes. The reason they would need to set up manufacturing of batteries here. Technology and expertise would need to be provided. It seems like the only prospect for a meaningful auto sector.

@Filamagnum @MaritStiles @CanadianCoffey Alright....that's a good outcome. To me though, it still seems like so many of these projects are weird zero sum games. And maybe we shouldn't be in the business of subsidies, since it is so rife with possible abuse.

Doug Ford gave Honda $2.5 billion of your tax dollars. Now Honda is halting production and 1,000 jobs could be gone. Did Ford attach any conditions to that money? Any strings? Any accountability? No.

@crreesor @TerryDaynard @kevinfolta Both are ruminant based. I'd be curious to know how can she assign a much higher "land use conversion" charge (maybe Brazil) against a steer vs a cow. A mature Holstein in full production will out-eat any steer and except for the finishing period, the steer is eating less grain.
