I do HVAC and was called to fix a walk.in cooler at a local Chinese restaurant and the walk in was at 95°, I walked in, dropped my tool bag and ran out into the alley and threw up. There were maggots in the exposed meat and the stench was over powering, the vegetables had oily dirt on them, I watched the staff drop stuff on the floor, pick it up and put it back on the tray. I went to the roof to work on the outdoor unit and there I called the health inspector. As I was finishing the repair on their cooler system, the health inspector showed up, 15 min later as I'm loading up my service truck, the fire Marshal showed up... Tge owner of my company was livid I got his favorite restaurant shut down. Even after I showed him pics of the condition he nearly fired me. I worked there another month and went to work for a much better company. Moral of the story, if I can't see into the kitchen, I'm not eating there.
