Let’s run a hypothetical scenario. Real Madrid offer £150m for Bruno Fernandes. No club realistically turns that down. Bruno has been our best player for years, comfortably. But he’s 31 now. Getting that kind of fee for him would be incredible business. If you reject that proposal, you’re not thinking progressively. United sold prime Ronaldo and eventually recovered — we can recover from losing Bruno too. The reality is, Bruno can be replaced with that money. There are talented options all over Europe. It’s about finding the right fit for United, not pretending replacements don’t exist.

@txmwa He's not that guy, just like Scott. The only logical 4 man midfield consists of KM (21), Ederson (27), Mateus (21) and Tonali (26). Perfectly balanced in every aspect. Carrick will be pushing for Tonali and I'll believe we will get him til they say he has picked another team.

The point is Hackney playing in Championship doesn’t mean he can’t add value to the team. He could join the team and be a very valuable addition

@Leumaswazhere2 I think we underestimate the value of another established CM. Mateus & KM are 21. Ederson is 27. I think its important that we get that "marquee", to make a statement. For me, 26 year old Tonali fits the exact profile that KM needs to succeed. Could be an elite midfield this.

If Ederson quickly adapts to the EPL and we also get Matteus Fernandes, then I couldn't care less who the 3rd midfielder would be Those 2 guys alone added with Mainoo gives us a crazy amount of press resistance and ball movement
