Iran has accomplished something more important than a military victory on the ground, as it has dragged the reputation of the United States of America and Israel through the mud—and more crucially, it has emboldened countries around the world to muster the courage to say "no" to the most arrogant American president with his delusions of grandeur, rejecting his requests outright. It has even turned him, the United States of America, and Israel into the laughingstock of laughingstocks, even among the closest allies and partners of the United States. This, in and of itself, is a historic achievement.

Message to America: Kick the neocons the hell out of power. They start these idiotic wars to benefit a foreign country to the detriment of our own country. Neocons and their religious counterparts need to be removed from power with extreme prejudice.
Calla@CallaWalsh

Must-read highlights from speech by the Spokesman for the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces: ▸ Our main strategic weapons production centers are ones you cannot find at all, and even if you find them, you have no possibility of damaging them. ▸ A negligible part of Iran's ammunition has been used or damaged. ▸ Ground invasion? We are waiting impatiently. We are waiting for the Americans to begin ground operations, because we will teach them a lesson so that they will never again intend to aggress against even the weakest country in the world. ▸ In a ground operation, we will create a slaughterhouse for the Americans to cause such terror that for several future generations, Americans will not volunteer to join the army. In close and direct confrontation, we will wreak such havoc on the Americans that no one will ever join the US army again. In a ground confrontation, we will act in such a way that no one will dare to join the US army, and for generations, people in America will despise the army. We will teach them a lesson so that they do not dare to attack countries. ▸ We will squeeze the enemy's throat with the claws of the people and the armed forces until they suffocate. ▸ Our strategy is the expulsion of the Americans from West Asia. ▸ The Americans are seeking a dignified escape from the war; even if they announce the end of the war once, we will not let them go. We will exact revenge for the blood of the martyrs. We are squeezing the throat of America. Our losses must be compensated, and the aggressor must be punished. ▸ It will not be that, like in the 12-day war, Trump utters the word "ceasefire" and then goes off to prepare himself for the next attack or orchestrates a sedition like the 18th and 19th of Dey. ▸ The longer the war lasts, the greater the humiliation and defeat of the United States will be. (Brigadier General Abolfazl Shekarchi)

IRAN NEW SUPERPOWER ALERT: WORLD POWER SHIFT IN JUST 33 DAYS Netanyahu boasted Israel would become a super nation in the region and globally. Professor Robert Pape says he is dead wrong. In just 33 days of conflict Iran has seized control of more world oil than any other country on the planet, creating a brand-new center of global power that will dominate for our lifetimes. THE NEW WORLD ORDER ➡️ Before the war there were three centers of world power: the US, Russia and China. ➡️ Russia made that list with just 11 percent of the world's oil. ➡️ Iran now controls double that amount, more than any other country on the planet. THE OIL SUPERPOWER ➡️ This delivers seventy-five to one hundred billion dollars a year more to pour into Iran's military and nuclear program. ➡️ Oil, gas, energy and fertilizer now sit under Iran's chokehold on the world. ➡️ No replacement supply can come online for three or four years even if drilling starts today. THE POWER THAT CANNOT BE UNDONE ➡️ Nuclear enrichment is now more likely than ever to produce actual weapons. ➡️ Iran will not voluntarily give up this new world power status. ➡️ Even if Trump says the war is over tonight the strategic consequences remain locked in. THE BOTTOM LINE Iran has emerged as the fourth global superpower in a single month while Israel's ambitions are dwarfed forever. This changes everything going forward. #IranSuperpower #NewWorldPower #OilChokehold #GlobalPowerShift #EscalationTrap #EnergyDominance #PowerRealignment

Iran is working on a protocol with Oman to enforce tolls and restrictions on the Strait of Hormuz. Iran could theoretically generate $35-50 billion a year in toll fees, paid in Chinese currency, thus further decreasing demand for petrodollars. The dollar is the goose that lays the golden eggs, eroding its power erodes US power. No doubt the neocon cabal that drives hyper-hawkish US foreign policy is quite incandescent with rage right now.

"The President of Mexico, a woman with the strength of a thousand men, spoke the truth that many Arab rulers fear to utter." ♦️ She stated that Mexico has the full right to send oil to the country of Cuba, whether for humanitarian or commercial reasons, without apology, without hesitation, and without seeking permission. ♦️ She added that the United States has spent six decades controlling the world, determining who has the right to trade with Cuba and who does not, ♦️ and today, as President of Mexico, she announced that that era is over, and that Mexico will send to Cuba everything it needs—food, oil, medicine, and everything else. ♦️ She affirmed that America today rules only itself, and that its era of controlling the trade of peoples is nearing its end. Claudia Sheinbaum gave Trump a lesson in ethics and manners, and her words, as expected, indicate that America's era may end at the hands of its current president, that its collapse is near, and that the entire world has turned against it.

In one month, Trump and Bibi have unintentionally turned Iran into the fourth center of world power, alongside the US, China, and Russia. We’ve never seen geopolitical power consolidate this quickly in modern history. Israel will be dwarfed by Persia. Eurasia is rising.

For the millionth time: the U.S. still doesn’t understand how the Iranian regime works. That’s why negotiations have failed, why military pressure hasn’t delivered results, and why escalation won’t lead to a breakthrough. Here’s the bottom line: Iran will not surrender, even under heavy bombardment or severe damage to its infrastructure. The regime sees this as a fight for survival. External pressure only strengthens its narrative that the U.S. and its allies are waging war against the Iranian people, not just the regime. They won’t concede to demands they’ve already rejected in the past. And every time Washington raises the stakes, Tehran, and its regional partners will respond in kind. If Trump (or any U.S. administration) wants a deal, it must recognize a hard truth: Iran does not see itself as negotiating from weakness. There is no realistic scenario in which maximum pressure alone forces capitulation even if the U.S. targets strategic assets. Yes, the U.S. can inflict significant damage. But there is no “textbook solution” here, and certainly no path to regime surrender through pressure alone. The only scenario that fundamentally changes the equation is regime change, and short of that, escalation will not produce a different outcome. #iran

Iran defense spending was $8b. They now will have access to $200b a year in new oil sales and transit fees. We fd around and created a regional superpower. They will most likely end up a nuclear state as well. Tehran could make a claim now as a global locus of power next to Beijing, D.C., Moscow, etc This will be an unacceptable outcome and that is why we are now in a for long, long war.

In an address to the nation, Trump suggested that countries that depend on oil shipments through the Strait of Hormuz should “build up some delayed courage… and just take it.” He added that the waterway could “open up naturally”after the war ends. ➡️ Iran will not do that. Tasnim news agency calculated that they can make $100bn per year, just collecting tolls.

In Washington, the stench of defeat has become unbearable. Time Magazine reports that, during the third week of Trump’s war of aggression on Iran, Trump’s most trusted advisers told him that “time is running out before the President, his party, and the American public pay an even steeper price.” The article describes Tehran’s response to Operation Epstein Fury as “expansive: volleys of missiles and drones targeting U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria, barrages against Israeli cities, harassment of commercial shipping in the Persian Gulf, and coordinated attacks by proxy militias across the region.” Hegseth was among those “taken aback”. According to a person familiar with Hegseth’s thinking: “He was expecting the Iranians to fight back in some form. When they started attacking virtually the entire region, it sort of hit him like, ‘Whoa, we’re really in this now.’”

Since the war began, I have been stating that an integral part of the White House’s Iran War propaganda campaign is to cover up the true extent of US military casualties and the effectiveness of Iranian strikes on the US and our allies to fuel the fake news narrative that the US is winning the war when in fact the opposite is the case. Earlier in the war, President Trump was asked about the number of US casualties and responded by stating that “the actual number of US military casualties might be much higher” so it seems likely Trump is being told the actual number of US casualties. Just yesterday, the Intercept confirmed my stated assumption that the Pentagon has indeed been ordered to coverup the true level of US military casualties in Trump’s war on Iran which number nearly 750 not 313 as the Department of War has falsely been claiming. It is reporting that the Pentagon has sent outdated statements on the number of U.S. troops killed or wounded during the Iran war, resulting in undercounts. The Intercept is reporting that over 14,500 US soldiers and defense contractors have been killed or wounded in the Middle East since October 2023 most of them from Iranian proxy attacks. It is surprising that if Iran and its proxies have killed or wounded that many US troops and defense contractors over the past two and a half years that it was not used as a justification for Trump’s war on Iran as it would seem to be a more plausible pretext than any of the unconvincing ones the White House has put up to date. Most likely they feared doing so as it would severely undermine public support for continuing the US military presence in the Middle East. One of Iran’s five peace demands is a full US military withdrawal from the Persian Gulf region. Given that US military and defense contractor casualties may well be in the five figures over the past couple of years from Iranian and Iranian proxy attacks, President Trump should avail himself of this golden opportunity to put America First and keep his promise to pull US troops out of the Middle East so Israel can never use them as a tripwire to entrap us in an unnecessary war with Iran ever again.
The Intercept@theintercept

Hundreds of U.S. personnel have been killed or injured in the region since the U.S. launched a war on Iran just over a month ago. CENTCOM has sent outdated statements on casualty numbers. interc.pt/4cm5Ua4

No one kneels to a storm especially not one of our own making. Let him continue the bombing, the wreckage, the spectacle of force masquerading as strength. Eventually, even appetite grows tired. And when it does, history; quiet, patient, unforgiving, will settle the score. But until then, there’s only one honest response left for some of us: Shame. Deep, unrelenting shame at what we’re becoming.
