Now that everyone is suddenly a (vibe) coder, we decided to make @Ahrefs API available on (almost) all paid plans! 🥳 So if you're on a Lite plan or higher - go grab your API key in Account Settings and plug it into your Claude Code. Happy building!

Grateful to @Mediabistro for this feature on the work we’re building at Clock Tower Innovation. The piece dives into how my background in TV - producing and developing shows for mass audiences - has translated into helping Fortune 500 companies rethink how they communicate.

@toddsaunders agree and it's so interesting. I remember saying the other day, "By the time we build a spec, we could have built this thing."

The token cost to build a production feature is now lower than the meeting cost to discuss building that feature. Let me rephrase. It is literally cheaper to build the thing and see if it works than to have a 30 minute planning meeting about whether you should build it. It’s wild when you think about it. This completely inverts how you should run a software organization. The planning layer becomes the bottleneck because the building layer is essentially free. The cost of code has dropped to essentially 0. The rational response is to eliminate planning for anything that can be tested empirically. Don’t debate whether a feature will work. Just build it in 2 hours, measure it with a group of customers, and then decide to kill or keep it. I saw a startup operating this way and their build velocity is up 20x. Decision quality is up because every decision is informed by a real prototype, not a slide deck and an expensive meeting. We went from “move fast and break things” to “move fast and build everything.” The planning industrial complex is dead. Thank god.

@Substack We can't import subscribers, and there is zero customer support. Have to leave the platform next week if we can't talk to someone.

PSILOCYBIN BEATS NICOTINE PATCHES IN QUITTING SMOKING A study published in JAMA Network Open found a single dose of psilocybin—the active compound in psychedelic mushrooms—was far more effective than nicotine patches at helping smokers quit. In a trial of 82 adults, over 40% of participants who received psilocybin were smoke-free after six months, compared with about 10% using nicotine patches, with both groups receiving therapy. Lead researcher Matthew Johnson of Johns Hopkins University said the drug may help by altering brain communication and self-perception, potentially breaking addictive patterns. The findings add momentum to growing research into psychedelic-assisted treatments, though larger trials are still needed.

I guess my wife always sees words in her mind. I asked her in what font, and she said without hesitation, Garamond. Love that woman.

@itsolelehmann which kind of begs the question. If one smart person can be so productive, what can ten smart people do? Google has 187K people or so. I wonder what they can do?

Saw a post yesterday about "Duolingo for Cooking." So I vibe coded it. Left my AI agent running overnight. Woke up and checked the logs. It finished the whole thing in 6 hours. It cost me $250 in compute credits. AI is simply incredible. Software Engineers are absolutely cooked. This is a million dollar app. [Built w/ Cursor + Perplexity Computer]
