@N_FitzpatrickTO @GRT_ROW I believe you need to have both a presto card(physical or digital) and Waterloo region’s EasyGo card. Then you fill in their web form one time with both card numbers, and any then any time you connect between GO & GRT, even if you used TTC first, your GRT trip will be free

Starting April 1, GO bus riders can take GRT to and from select GO stations for free. Connect-to-GO validators will be available at three new stations: University of Waterloo, Pinebush and Sportsworld. Enrolment is required. Visit grt.ca/GO.

Remember when MLS was moving away from the whole retirement league thing and there was a big focus on developing exciting, young talent that could be sold on? That was fun.

It's also obvious that the western portion of the temporary north stands are, in fact, not 100% finished. But that looks like a few days' work at most.

Large swathes of the newspaper used to be dedicated to telling you which shows were going to be on television at which times. There was also an entire magazine about this that people subscribed to.

@StephenWickens1 I share your sentiment, but these are at least reasonable. Only one hints at possible increased highway capacity. Shame they don't buy into tolling. Still - they aren't going doing the "extend the Spadina Expressway to merge with Bathurst north of St. Clair" of a decade ago.

More tweaks to address short-term symptoms. We're still twisting ourselves in knots to ignore big-picture congestion reality. Yes, it's politically hard to do what we need to if we're serious, making it doubly sad we can't get them done under a comfortably autocratic government.

@24thminute Certainly would be great for the summer. But with weeks of rain at a time, they'd want something more complex for fall/winter/spring. I love BC Place. If they could figure out how to get real grass in there (probably impossible) it would be great! The big issue is revenue.

I was there. That stadium location was stunning and I said at the time that they were nuts to go to BC Place (and was shouted down). The result was very TFC. Did get to see Terry Dunfield’s first MLS goal, though.

The highest remains 313.7 cm in 1869-70. Ten winters in 1800s were higher than 1938-39's 206.7 cm (81.4 in)! 158.5 cm in March 1870 alone!

@blizzardof96 @gtaweather1 @AnthonyFarnell You'd think the army-inducing winter of 1998-99 would be there, but it was only 116 cm at YYZ, but 162.2 cm downtown. That year was pretty quiet other than January. Would be interesting to see the data for downtown, rather than out in northern Mississauga. 1869-70 was 314 cm!
