As a citizen of Canada, I express my condemnation and indignation that Canada has announced just $8 million in food assistance to Cuba—while providing $2 BILLION in military aid to Ukraine this year alone. Even while claiming to help Cuba, the Canadian government refuses to acknowledge the genocidal U.S. economic blockade as the source of the country’s hardship. This is not solidarity, it’s a PR damage-control operation. Cuba requires fuel and Canada has the capacity to send it.
