@_JennieLevin True, Jennie. At times, visibility matters. Unfortunately, Algorand lost relevance due to mismanagement. It has great technology but poor execution. All fingers point to the top leadership and their lack of experience in handling a layer-1 blockchain network

🧵 Big step forward in yesterday’s SEC token taxonomy guidance.
Clear statement: ALGO is not a security.
And it doesn’t matter where it appears. The substance is what counts.
And to all those freaking out that AlGO was “only” mentioned in a footnote, a careful read of the guidance clearly shows that the footnote isn’t burying ALGO - it’s broadening the rule:
The SEC used futures-linked tokens as examples in the body of the text, but made clear that’s not the test.
That’s exactly where ALGO comes in 👇
ALGO is cited to show a token can be a digital commodity without underlying a futures contract.
In other words:
•Commodity status ≠ dependent on futures markets
•ALGO qualifies on its own merits
That’s a substance-based classification.
And importantly, it’s stronger.
And that’s exactly why the placement doesn’t diminish the impact. It actually clarifies and strengthens the reasoning behind the classification.

Today, the Algorand Foundation made the difficult decision to reduce our workforce by 25%. This decision was not taken lightly and is in response to the uncertain global macro environment as well as the broader downturn in crypto markets.
These employees have been best-in-class contributors to this ecosystem and to the Foundation, and this was an incredibly tough decision. We are sincerely grateful to them, and we are, of course, committed to supporting them through this transition.
We believe that we now have a more sustainable alignment of Algorand Foundation resources with the protocol’s long-term business, technology, and ecosystem priorities. @AlgoFoundation Remember, market cap drives visibility too. ALGO is a strong contender for the top 5 -nothing less. I also tested other chains, but the experience was awkward; Algorand is 1000% better. Why is Algorand ranked #64 while others sit in the top 10? It's all abt execution & leadership

The wide spreads clearly signal a liquidity problem.
