Zohran Mamdani hit with outrage as socialist mayor watches World Cup for free in luxury suite
First year New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani attended the Brazil versus Morocco match on June 13 2026 at MetLife Stadium in a luxury suite with Governor Kathy Hochul.
Mamdani received free tickets to the game and multiple exclusive World Cup matches while ordinary New Yorkers face resale prices starting at $1600 and he ran a ticket lottery for the public.
The socialist democrat enjoyed VIP access at the capitalist sporting event while his wife paid for her own ticket and cheapest seats cost up to $1600 on resale.
Outrage erupted with critics calling out the hypocrisy of a self described socialist taking luxury perks that working people cannot afford at a tournament costing thousands per ticket.
Mamdani's office claimed the attendance was in official capacity due to a contractual obligation with the host committee.
Earlier this week Mamdani said he paid nearly $1000 for a Knicks ticket while resale prices reached $4900 in the same section.
Typical socialists, do do as i do, do as i say!

These people came together to protect their communities. Anyone going against protecting the most vulnerable in society is on the wrong side of history.

🚨 BOOM! Scott Jennings just said what millions of Americans are thinking.
For hours, the same people who preach “equity” and “fairness” have been obsessing over Elon Musk’s wealth instead of asking how he built it.
Think about it.
Electric vehicles.
Rocket launches.
Satellite internet.
Artificial intelligence.
Space exploration.
The man didn’t win the lottery.
He built companies that changed entire industries.
Since when did success become a crime in America?
Why are the people who claim to support innovation always attacking the innovators?
America became the greatest nation on earth because dreamers, builders, inventors, and entrepreneurs were rewarded for taking risks.
You don’t get to Mars by thinking small.
You don’t change the world by envying the people trying to build it.

Hundreds of protesters marched in Belfast to say "no to racism" after riots sparked by a Sudanese asylum seeker charged with attempted murder.
The demonstration in the lower Falls area followed days of violence including burning buses and attacks on migrant homes using a circulated hit list.
Former Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams joined the march as police drafted in two hundred extra officers from the mainland to restore calm.
Sudanese national Hadi Alodid, a former policeman in Khartoum has been charged with stabbing victim Stephen Ogilvie leaving him without his left eye.
The thirty year old arrived in the UK via the asylum route after travelling through Libya following the civil war in Sudan in 2023
He appeared in court on Wednesday and was remanded in custody with his next hearing scheduled for July amid ongoing tensions in the city.
