@FreedomLadUK Absolutely. My eyes were fully open to investing around 2020 when I had a really good company share scheme. Share prices locked in at 127p, now worth 795p. Had an option to hold them for 5 years at 127p, maximum of £500 a month.

@PaulInvests83 Mate it is gutting. I am actually quite angry at myself for not realising what I know now much earlier. But atleast we know what we need to do now. We can not change the past but we can however help others from making the same mistakes.

Afternoon everyone, This is a brand new X account dedicated to tracking my FIRE journey in public. I’m 42, based in Yorkshire 🇬🇧 | Homeowner 🏠 | ETF Growth Investor. For years I was good at saving money but terrible at actually investing it. I procrastinated for a long time and even missed getting into Tesla in the early days. Finally took the leap and started investing properly on 26/03/2020. Current portfolio: £240k I’m now fully committed - throwing everything I can at it. Slightly annoyed I started so late, but my clear target is to be in a position to retire before 50, and ideally a lot sooner than that.
