Everyone moans that the tories should have done this in the last 14 years. The simple fact is that they couldn’t. Halve the old Conservative Party where quite frankly not conservative, more aligned with labour. With only a 88 majority, pushing through this would have been impossible. Just like the endless Brexit approaches where. Without a massive majority there is no chance. This is another reason why the current labour majority is dangerous. They can push anything through.

What’s the best way to free capacity in our prisons? Deport foreign offenders. Then we can lock up career criminals for longer and slash crime rates.
