@Playtest_VR @PlanetaryWhisky @SadlyItsBradley i think you will be pleasantly surprised with how well some games perform. I expec HL alyx to be able to run the game. lots of games have intense graphical options and also foveated rendering. FR alone could boost performance 30-50% by not rendering what you aren't looking at.

While I’d be shocked for this to happen on Steam Frame.. since Meta owns Beat Saber and doesn’t even want to update the PSVR2 build anymore… I’ve heard the regular x86 Steam version of Beat Saber runs great in standalone mode (even though it’s emulated/translated to Linux ARM)

@hamshoes5 @SadlyItsBradley On standalone, the mobile version may run much better. Also storage. Take a game like Medal of Honor - it’s 184gb on steam. Mobile is 42gb. And it runs incredibly well on Quest

Call Of Duty Black Ops: Declassified (Vita) Been wanting to play this for the longest of times, and finally got round to it... Not bad, not great. Finished the main campaign and kind of don't want to go back anytime soon, but maybe in the future. If I had to score it.. 6/10

GAMES COMPLETED IN 2026 I've always wanted to do one of these threads to keep track of what I've played and completed in a year. So with that said, I'm going to try my best to do that! Games are all played on PC, Quest, PSVR2, PS5 & PS Vita. And so it begins!

It keeps on getting worse. It’s the end of Meta VR Gaming. Thanks for the good times, the great games, the questionable software choices and the subsidised headsets! Steam Frame is now the way to go.

Workrooms closure makes a lot of sense, it's been awful and each major update has been even worst. Quite embarrassing really, so this makes sense. They need to do better here, so many better apps to "Work in VR" as discussed here!

Camoflaj hinted at a Wolverine VR game in past. Maybe that was actually on the cards, and cancelled.

This might be my favourite walkabout course ever. The Easter eggs, the origin story, the music, the animation, the course design, the coconuts!!! 👌🏽

Great scoop and take @GAMERTAGVR The woes continue, a potential Harry Potter game has been axed as well as more cuts that havent been made public. Quest 4 is interesting though, why not keep these studios in development for it? It’s no longer going to be gaming focused 🧵

With that said, games like Ghost Town and Arken Age, the two best games this year, were not funded by meta. Same goes for a lot of other great titles. However the big budget ones will be few and far between. Watch this space for Batman Arkham Shadow 2 though 😉

As @GAMERTAGVR says though, Meta have done wonders for VR. With the Quest, they’ve taken it places no one else has, put out some excellent games for it. But the money isn’t there for big titles, and there will be another dip now until another big player drives it forward.
