I don't understand how the PWHL used the Gold Plan for two teams, and abandoned it for two. They also knew that the third overall pick is now Las Vegas' before choosing this, meaning they awarded Vegas the 3rd and 5th overall picks which could be Edwards and Simms.

I never want to hear a PWHL expansion team complain about anything ever again. You can’t find more favourable expansion circumstances than this. Las Vegas is even getting the 3rd and 5th overall picks. Literally zero excuses for LV, Detroit, Hamilton, SJ, Vancouver, Seattle now

The PWHL Draft order completely screws the New York Sirens.
Not only are they just outside the top tier in Round 1, they now pick after Detroit in Round 2 which means they could miss the only starting goalie in the draft.
Devastating for that team's future and fan base.
