Fun on the farm! We had the best time on our very first school trip. The children represented our school so well and made all their teachers very proud!

This weeks Wanderlust theme is Shadows. This afternoon we have been exploring how the sun makes shadows. 🌞

We have been busy finding and making arrangements to 10 in Maths this morning.

Linked to our class text ‘Handa’s Surprise’ we have been thinking about other people’s wants and needs. What a kind a thoughtful group of children we have!

It is lovely to have our classroom filled with children again after the break. The children have settled in brilliantly and are straight back to their learning.

Easter Stay & Play 🐣 We have had a wonderful afternoon getting crafty with our family. Everyone is now in the Easter spirit especially after a special visit from the Easter Bunny!

Last week we had a visit from a vet. They taught us about animals and their babies and how to care for different pets.

This morning we have been learning at The life cycle of a duck. We are enjoying watching our duckling play and grow.

We are excited to announce that 3 of our ducklings have hatched and are doing very well.

We have had a very eggciting arrival! Over the next few weeks we will be observing some ducklings hatching. We will keep you all updated! 🐥

This week we have been learning about Chinese New Year! 🇨🇳 We learnt the story of The Great Race and found out about how people in China celebrate. This is the a year of the Dragon! We made our own dancing dragon. 🐉

This week in maths we are investigating different ways to make numbers.

Happy Thursday! We are so proud of how ready the children have been to learn this week. They have been independently accessing all areas of the classroom with engagement and excitement.

We have recently been studying the Moon in Reception. We watched the first man step onto the surface with amazement and fascination. We want find out what the weather feels like up there? 🌙🌜🚀👩‍🚀

We enjoyed having a boogie to the song ‘Celebration’ together during our music session. We talked about the bits we liked and how it made us feel. 💃🕺🪩

Our team of Reception children loved attending the Multi Sports Festival at Gateshead Stadium. They were great ambassadors for our school and we are very proud of them.
