We are sad to learn that Michel Rétif passed away yesterday aged 101. He was the last surviving flight crew member of #Concorde's maiden flight in 1969. He is third from the left in the photograph below. Our thoughts and sympathies go out to his family and former colleagues.

We’ve only been waiting for 12 years from a reply from @British_Airways to our proposal for Alpha Bravo to have a permanent parking spot that’s befitting for Concorde much like the @airfrance #Concorde at @ParisAeroport

In all the years I’ve flown out of @HeathrowAirport this is the closest I’ve come to @British_Airways #Concorde G-BOAB “Alpha Bravo” that last flew on 15 August 2000 and has remained parked up airside at Heathrow ever since. Here’s hoping she gets a proper parking spot one day!

We first met Oliver in 2005 and had the privilege of being in his company during the Summer of 2010 when we were supporting Concorde at Filton with our SOS: Save Our Speedbird campaign. His contribution to Concorde’s heritage is beyond measure. RIP
