My advice for anyone wanting to start the series, play the originals first, don't play the RE1 Remake first. Play each game in the order they came out.
Why? Because it's a journey to watch a franchise evolve as you go through it for the first time.
Take it from a guy who's been playing since day one.

Magic Sword is the only game where my "heroic journey" involves breaking into fifty consecutive prison cells just to find a lizardman who throws boomerangs 😂
