To be honest, I can't blame Jonathan for doing so, I've learned positivity and negativity have to be in equal balance. Otherwise we get toxic positivity. And companies, love toxic positivity because there's no one left to challenge them or question them and what happens when there's no one left to challenge or question them. @randblendguy @RavenMentore If I remember correctly somewhere in the games lore it mentions something about the memories of yasuke and noae being altered or something by an ai. If that’s the case then the memories we see arnt the real memories, similar to the “tyranny of king Washington” dlc.

@TheAnnaji I’m waiting for a sale, after shadows I just don’t trust ubi anymore. But so far it not only sounds really good but is a clear step up from shadows.

I know some content creators already got review copies and have been sharing spoilers, including a lot of the new content. I’d rather discover those things for myself. @TheHiddenOneAC So shadows didn’t do well despite the praise and positive messages from Ubisoft like it’s “doing well” Who would’ve thought?

So it turns out Black Flag Resynced's pre-orders are 5.39 times higher on Steam than what AC Shadows managed at the same stage before release... That is definitely quite the difference. Also it's revealed now that AC Shadows sold 5.7 million total copies.

My main takeaway from this Is that Ubisoft should look at what made this remake a success. The story, the cutscenes, the gameplay, the setting (actual cities to parkour in). And improve on it in future titles as well! Keep what worked & rebuild/improve what didn’t.

@RavenMentore If shadows gets any treatment like a “resynced” they should just remake it entirely and do a completely different story. New takes on characters or new characters in general, better story, etc.

My only advice for Ubisoft, get rid of these darn fantasy armours. If you pull a "shadows" with resynced, can we get rid of Quebec working on Assassins Creed, thanks.

@dr_hinfectos I remember when skins like this could be obtained through some quest line or collectible quest. Now I either have to pay or grind a battle pass for a single player game.

Ubisoft is eventually going to write themselves into a corner, Here's Why: With the recent Assassins Creed Games they've failed to write a good Story and narrative which the franchise has always been about to begin with. And most of the original dynamic story telling had been introduced through DLC, along with the original mechanics. However today they just remove constant mechanics which are part of the original games, and part of the challenges and storytelling dynamics which made those games what they were. Problem is if you untangle and snip the strings one by one from the yarn of the franchise - the devs, and whoever is making these decisions are becoming their own undoing. This is why I said, keep to the original core vision that franchise is supposed to up-hold by doing so you create a successful franchise, but undo it's threads and it becomes it's own undoing. But by undoing the yarn, you undo the franchise and eventually cause it's decay - and it's only a matter of time before this happens. Hexe, Ezio's return is highly unnecessary. - his story is finished but they can't let the character literally rest after Embers, because he's the only most successfully accomplished trilogy, alongside Altair. Black Flag, undoing mechanics which were central to the core game and it's plot device,the Animus, and focusing on animus heavy AI stories which make no sense, including texts in a vault. Eventually the franchise is slowly decaying like an old corpse, there's nothing fresh coming from Ubisoft. They need to leave Animus EGO behind, and focus on a, strong modern day story to compliment the Animus Ancestor Assassins. The Assassins Creed franchise is nearing its end given they have to carefully approach Remakes and not cause any friction between fans/community members m. Give or take 1 wrong step made, and everything falls apart. The threads unravel completely.

@acinterface Maybe, or in the normal version noae is still a shinobe and yasuke is either an assassin or Templar going undercover

@ShrubbyGaming Yeah that was were GW become the King of America,so in the Animus Ego Version,Yasuke was a Samurai and Noe a Shinobi,but if we would use „normal Animus,Yasuke would be a butler and Naoe a Farmer for example..,

I think that with Shadows they gave AC fans too much credit regarding their ability to grasp“Inception-style“concepts; if they had said right from the start,“Look, Shadows is a manipulated simulation run by an Abstergo AI," they could have spared themselves a lot of criticism🤔

@ShrubbyGaming Yeah, something like that. You could say that the people seen in the Animus didn't actually exist quite the way they were portrayed….like in the AC3 DLC ToKG

It's unfortunate that it took until the very final update for them to realize what fans actually want. The franchise never needed to abandon it's identity. All you had to do was write an Assassin vs Templar story, with the First Civilization entwined into it. That is always the foundation people wanted to see. But alas. Hopefully this was a harsh lesson learned.
