@meltypafait i’m sorry but these comments are dumb. majority of people are getting 4k steps maximum. most people are not walking 10k steps 7 days a week. i feel like it’s more than just moderate

@GregorioSh64773 @TonyLaneNV @LynneB8898 It is emulating the European model. They are ensuring their servers get paid. They don’t expect you to leave an additional tip unless for some reason, like excellent service, you want to. This should be the norm.

A woman on Instagram said: My husband and I go out to dinner and order lobster dishes at $50 each and the table next to us order burgers at $15 each. Why do we have to leave a bigger tip than the other table when we had the same waitress and got the same service?

@luxemiaa I’ve thought about this too. Servers that work 6 to 8 hour morning or lunch shifts won’t make as much in tips as some evening servers that work a four hour shift because the prices are higher for those meals. It really doesn’t make sense

It’s a sales structure. The more she sells you, the more she makes. The more quality or volume of food you order, the higher she is compensated. The best way to quantify quality and volume is through the dollar amount of the total bill. So take a percentage of that and that’s the tip.

If you're selling a home, you should have to provide a building inspection report - instead of every interested buyer paying for their own. We're changing the rules to require exactly that.

@trusthedeniance @MadsMelbourne Super has grown at more than 6% historically so you’re better off with that than paying more on your mortgage

@MadsMelbourne Or to pay off their mortgages instead of paying 6% + interest - Super is just another tax, isnt that why you have to go thru the ATO to get it 🤦 It really couldn't be any more obvious could it?

Superannuation is the biggest con! Australians have been tricked into thinking that giving 12% of their hard earned income to the government on top of the income tax and Medicare levy they already pay is a good idea. There is absolutely no guarantee that you will even get any of your money back when you do finally retire. Ex ALP politicians, high ranked ALP members and Union bosses including the CFMEU sit on the boards of these super funds and get to decide however it is they want to spend or invest your income. Whilst they take a huge proportion from you in fees. They make themselves and their mates rich whilst you struggle. They’ve even ensured there is no way for you to access those funds until you’re literally old and grey. Imagine if everyone had 12% more of their earnings to spend on necessities or to save right now. How much of a difference that would make to peoples lives.

@stevenhearn @Slater17 @sfali789 @NonsenseEnd People don’t understand we do tipping to keep things cost effective. I’m okay with paying an hour wage to an employee, but then your mediocre burger is going to cost $36 instead of $17. Dinning will become a luxury and not a “right” like many people think it is.

🚨Waitress Megan Hollis in Cleveland, OH was arrested after flipping a table when a party of 10 left a $5 tip on a $304 bill. 22-year-old Hollis was arrested after she flipped an entire four-top table at Lakeside Grill in outrage over a $5 tip left by a party of 10 celebrating a birthday. According to the report, Megan had spent nearly three hours refilling sodas, cutting cake, handing out plates, and splitting the check five ways. When she picked up the receipt and saw the tip—five crumpled one-dollar bills—she reportedly said, “No. No, absolutely not,” set the money down, and walked directly to the group's table. Witnesses say she stared at them and asked, “Is this a prank?” before grabbing the edge of the table and flipping it onto its side. Plates shattered, drinks spilled everywhere, and the birthday girl screamed. Management intervened, but Megan shouted, “YOU DON’T LEAVE FIVE DOLLARS ON A THREE-HUNDRED-DOLLAR BILL. I’M NOT A CHARITY.” Police arrested her moments later.

@sfali789 @NonsenseEnd Minimum wage is $5.35 per hour in Ohio for tipped employees. Awful, but not $2.13 (that's Tennessee). Can you explain how tipping culture subsidizes the restaurant's profits?

I was talking with a family friend who mentioned how much easier they had it buying their house in Melbourne in the late 1980s even with 14% interest rates vs today. I did the numbers the mortgage consumed 22% of average male full time earnings.

do you not find this extremely suspect? the same vanguard that said crypto is a risk and denied ETFs to be traded there now launches ETFs after BTC -30%. the same vanguard that own 9.4% of JP Morgan, the largest institutional shareholder. the same JPMorgan that crashed crypto harder than it ever needed to be on 10/10. the same JPMorgan that issued an investor note warning that MicroStrategy risked exclusion from major indexes like MSCI USA, Nasdaq 100, and S&P 500 due to its BTC-heavy balance sheet. the same JPMorgan that recycled a 42-day-old document on October 10 to amplify panic, just as BTC and MSTR were softening and lined up perfectly with Trump's 4:50 PM EDT tariff speech, which sparked a global flash crash which equities recovering but leaving crypto suffering. all to lead to the largest asset manager in the world giving a chance for their customers to by the low. it can’t be? can it?

JUST IN: $11 trillion Vanguard to allow clients to buy crypto ETFs starting tomorrow.
