@Rashmunchel I'm pretty sure the hate you got was mainly because you were posturing pretty hard that the cannon story of the remake was James being a patient and him being raped by the Director, then a bunch of people dragged Masahiro Ito into it and the rest is history.

Over a year ago I said the director is a r*p*st and got lots of fans pissed. But this has been canon since SH3, where a note mentions he SA'd a nurse. Also in OG SH2 there are 3 hidden paintings in his office, one depicts him as a monster and it looks like SA. Context on the SH3 note: He locked a nurse in a padded room and wouldn't let her go. You can unlock it and find her inside, and you'll hear a man's heavy breathing. It's surreal that I've got endless bullying and death threats even to this day for saying that he abused his patients in SH2R, which imo is obvious if you pay attention to the lore... I wished they'd stuck more closely to the OG intentions but then what else were they going to add to the Hotel to change it up besides more Nurses, mannequins etc... Abstract daddy? People already didn't like that and God forbid they made a new monster.

@catwarrior45 @TimurTi32149527 @hyxkkimxru Symbolic nature aside, people have been confusing the Mandarin and Closer since the OGs so that's not a problem unique to the remake. Now if they remake 3 and the Closer does the exact same stuff and behaves the exact same way, then 100% they done goofed.

@catwarrior45 @hyxkkimxru How so? Closer just walks around and blocks your path maybe swings or shoots its little spike at you. Mandarin in the remake Hotel fight, stun screams, leaps around, catapults itself at you, has a long ranged grab, has AoE spin attacks and can bulldoze you.
