This week, I toured Achieve of Central Virginia in Lynchburg. They assist individuals with disabilities & disadvantages achieve greater independence, vocational training, & employment services. We discussed the AbilityOne Program. Thanks for the tour!

I appreciate the team at AbilityOne for recognizing me as an AbilityOne Champion, and I look forward to continuing to support such a meaningful mission. Fun fact: The milk that one of #NC11’s AbilityOne employers, Transylvania Vocational Services, distributes to food banks nationwide is from my dear friend Congressman Van Orden’s district in Wisconsin, and it is packaged in our mountains. Naturally, we had to test out the milk ourselves. We gave it an A+.

As a member of @ccd4pwd, SourceAmerica – along with more than 50 disability organizations – sent a letter in December to the Census Bureau expressing concern with the proposed changes. We look forward to further engaging with the Census Bureau on this topic in the spring.
