Wide spread according to your anecdotal evidence? My issue is you're making a claim "Tesla batteries degrade worse than others" based soley off YOUR opinion based off anecdotal evidence. There are zero studies that I can find that back up what you're saying - everything I find actually says overall Tesla batteries do better than industry average.

@brandenflasch I mostly DC fast charge through Wisconsin and Kwik Charge is my go to. 45 cents a Kw isn't the cheapest but they have 24-7 amenities and are trailer friendly. I will go out of my way or wait at a charger longer to avoid over 50 cents per Kw. Lookin at you EVGO...
English

Is per-kWh price a factor when you choose which DCFC to stop at on a road trip?
We’re finally at the point where major routes have major options (I remember when that wasn’t the case!), and those options come with a real range of amenities, power levels, and pricing.
Personally, I’ll go out of my way to avoid just about any DCFC priced above $0.50/kWh - I typically pay under $0.40/kWh, assuming ~200kW+ / 500A+ to pull full power on my F-150 Lightning. That usually puts me on IONNA, Mercedes-Benz High-Power Charging, and Tesla Superchargers with membership ($12.99/month is paid for in the savings of a single charge on my Lightning, though it's very annoying I can't use PnC and get the discounted rate).
For AC / Level 2, I won’t bother plugging in unless it’s below $0.20/kWh (and only if I actually need it, like at a hotel) or free - opportunity charging or better parking.
Public charging is still priced too high across the board, and hotel AC charging is the worst offender. Hotels need to view EV charging as an amenity - more like the pool or gym - rather than a profit center like the overpriced minibar snacks. Having charging attracts guests that would otherwise pick a different hotel that has (reasonably priced) charging.
What are your thresholds?

@JedediahBila If you have to spend that much time just to prepare yourself, you better check yourself, you are not as pretty as you think you are. A minimum price for a date is just as fake as you are. I date is to get to know someone, not see how much free shit you can get
English

@Jordan_Schiefer @Gjeebs I got a lightning 8 months and already have 17k on it. It's way better than I expected. Honestly, I think a lot of people just don't know what they are missing. Silverado is a bit pricey but if you towed more than I do it would be worth it.
English

@FutureAZA I live in the land of frozen tundra. The amount of salt and other road treatments we put on the roads is shocking. I changed out my front brakes at 130k but they were not worn much at all, they were just too rusty to be effective if needed.
English

To those of you with a Tesla (or really any EV) how long did it take before you first had to change your brakes?
And if you haven't needed to, what's the age and mileage of your vehicle?

After 8 years, finally replaced the brakes on my Tesla Model 3.

@SenWarren How about we go after all the obvious fraud before we start asking for more money

@SawyerMerritt 10000 bz purchases... mind blown. Imagine what Toyota could have sold if they actually built a decent EV. Brand loyalty is strong here.

Here's a little sample of my latest #RechargeRescue repair that took place in Maryland this week.
I'll have the full video up on @stateofcharge in a couple of days. 😱

@itskyleconner Not a fan of the extra boring looks and definitely not the price. I'd pick something like a polestar 4 over this all day. Honestly isn't this thing close to gravity pricing?
English

@brandenflasch First choice Model y
Second choice Etron. Used prices are quite good
Third Mache. Some good used prices there too
English

If you were shopping EVs with a budget of ~$25k with reliability, warranty and space as primary considerations (family of 4), what would you pick? They were thinking Prologue as a good option and I don't have an argument against it, but not sure if there are others that should be considered.
English

@brandenflasch @Signal_Twenty Also I hate spelling prolouge or prologue or whatever. I always spell it wrong. Even when I spell it correctly, I think it looks wrong.
English

@Signal_Twenty What makes it terrible? I agree that it's not compelling at $40k+ new but $25k used / low mileage is decent
English

@brandenflasch @Signal_Twenty Prolouge also doesn't get Supercruise
