I am going on a consistent release schedule from now on. Thursday’s and Sunday’s. 10am Phoenix time. There may be times when I release another video that’s time sensitive outside of those days. Now you know when to hide from your wife/kids/family and concentrate me, your father.

Carwow just released a new video to its 11 million YouTube subscribers titled: "Why Tesla Full Self Drive is Pointless!" @carwowuk misleads its viewers into thinking Tesla’s Autopilot is FSD, even though FSD hasn’t been approved in the UK yet. Autopilot isn’t meant for city driving, yet they test of bunch of scenarios that Autopilot wasn't built to do in the first place....

@Michael_L_Rauch @MaxPatten Yea I really liked it drove great with decent tech and good ride quality but it cost as much or more than a Y and was smaller so from that perspective it doesn’t make much sense

@MaxPatten Seems like a car everyone loved to test or experience, but not one many wanted to actually purchase. I’m sure the battery issues didn’t help.

@Jones1 @Gjeebs Sorry it’s not clear, this is his lube up to Flagstaff and back. That’s not the full entire range of the battery pack. The video is really good. I think everybody should watch it no matter which truck they like.

I really like the opening seconds where we have a natural two-panel layout with both cars on screen. That works very well and immediately grabs attention. It also confirms what the video is about right away. The information about the 1900s probably isn’t necessary. It’s not something that’s actually used later in the video, so it ends up wasting the viewer’s time. Then you tell the viewer that they’re going to be completely shocked. That’s predicting how the viewer will feel. Instead of telling them how they will feel, it’s better to sell the value they’ll get from the video so anticipation builds naturally. Also, some viewers may not even be looking for that specific emotion, so it can create a mismatch between what they want and what you say they will experience. Another small thing, and this is a bit picky, but when going to B-roll it would probably be better to stay on the main frame and add smaller inserts of the newer cars. That would make the content feel more premium. Right now it sometimes feels like we’re cutting to generic stock footage. Then we start getting information about 2003, but it still doesn’t feel like we’re getting to the point. We have this interesting comparison between the cars, but the viewer never really gets a clear idea of the journey the video will take. There’s no clear consequence or direction. It just feels like a lot of information being thrown at the viewer without setting up the story we’re actually going to tell. The B-roll also feels repetitive. Most of the shots are simply snapshots of cars and the visuals look very similar from shot to shot. There’s not much visual variety, and we’re also missing insert shots that focus on specific parts of the cars. That lack of variety can make it easier for viewers to get bored.

Let's do intro reviews! I’m a retention director who works with some of the biggest YouTube creators, many of whose videos get over 100M views each. For the next 24 hours, I’ll review as many intros as possible and give advice on what to improve.

Look mom no hands @Rivian universal hands free driving autonomy+ service is $49.99/month or $2500 after the trial ends (April 4th or 60 days). With what we've experienced so far, is autonomy+ worth it? If so would you pay monthly or one time?
