@Jenny_1884 Not that I want to never be able to retire, but your taxes aren’t a savings pot. Money paid in taxes now pays for the pensions being claimed today. People are living longer so individuals claim more, and more people filter into the pot. Sucks but that’s how it is.

Pensions are not free money as they have been earned over many years. The Government should not be allowed to keep putting this above people’s reach as they paid into the system in good faith expecting to get something out in later life. Leave our pensions alone !!!

@eiecampaign With the expected £130-150b cost, the gov’t could install solar and batteries in over 8m homes. The additional energy generated could be provided specifically to low income homes at a low rate and it would reduce the future risk. I know this doesn’t cover gas but it’s a start
