There needs to be an urgent traffic management plan for the Kasangati–Gayaza road around Matuga Junction.
Many Ugandans have now been stuck in traffic for over 2 hours, and frustration is going higher...
Some motorists are beginning to force their way through, while others are showing signs of striking out of desperation.
Immediate intervention and traffic support are needed before the situation escalates further.

It’s Atiak Sugar again as MPs approve Shs 1.1 trillion supplementary expenditure
The allocations include Shs 100 billion to Atiak Sugar Factory. MP Ssemujju argued that the project’s financing structure was heavily skewed in favour of the private investor, Amina Moghe Hersi, who owns 60% of the company.
According to him, Hersi has invested about Shs 125 billion, while government, despite holding a 40% stake, would have injected more than Shs 768 billion with the latest allocation observer.ug/news/its-atiak…

Our mother of Nation , The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports , Hon Mama @JanetMuseveni, has significantly transformed the Ministry of Education in a short period. Last evening, as I passed through Kyambogo Village along Kyambogo Road, I saw a remarkable campus of education and administrative institutions developed within just four years, all in one area saving Government billions of shillings usually paid in abnormal rental expanses.

I strongly support the idea of HE Museveni of exempting taxes from salaries for scientists. Uganda’s population is growing rapidly, climate has changed, whereas the population needs food and other necessities. A well empowered science sector will concentrate on innovation……

This is the economic perspective, which can be addressed by incorperating the ideas. How about the political & national security perspectives? You can protect the economy but lose the politics & security. Which one would you rather risk? Sovereignity & power? Politics & security?

"Chairman, a country without reserves is not sovereign. The potential of this Bill to destabilize Uganda’s balance of payments is our primary concern as a central bank. For example, last financial year the overall balance of payment surplus was USD 1.5 billion. That’s how we were able to increase our reserve coverage by USD 1.5 billion. Today as we speak our reserves are close to USD 6 billion. Why? Because these inflows have been coming in. The public debt has taken away our sovereignty and not the foreign exchange.
