No, because for a far too large number of them, this is all performative. They are all the main characters in their own little movie. A man getting shot in the throat isn't real to them, the engagement they get from reacting to it is. It's Internet brain rot writ large. Most of these people don't have actual political opinions in the standard sense. They can't tell you why they think what they think or believe what they believe. They can repeat things that have passed through a consensus filter among their chosen in-group. Other than that, they're empty vessels. None of this is real until they suffer consequences for it. That's why this current wave of RW doxxing is so encouraging, as it presents consequences to people who have never had them. It shows them that there are actual real-world repercussions for making a smug little video dancing over a decent man's grave.

“NASA lost the technology” is one of the most misunderstood quotes in conspiracy circles. They did not lose the ability to go to the Moon. They retired the Apollo hardware. The factories were shut down, the tooling was scrapped, and the workforce moved on. That is what happens when a program ends. You do not keep 1960s manufacturing lines running forever. “Destroyed the technology” refers to the physical equipment and production capability, not the knowledge. The engineering documents, blueprints, mission data, and scientific records still exist. What was taped over were old magnetic telemetry tapes that stored raw engineering numbers, not the broadcast footage and not the mission itself. If NASA wanted to rebuild Apollo today, they could, but it would be slower and more expensive than designing modern systems from scratch. That is why Artemis exists. It is not a reboot of Apollo. It is a new program built for long term exploration. Nothing about this points to a hoax. It points to how large engineering projects work in the real world. The only people claiming it is “proof” of anything are the ones who never looked past a meme.

“Why is it so hard to land again” is only a question if you ignore how Apollo actually worked. We did not lose the ability. We stopped funding the program. Apollo was a massive national project with 400,000 people, a blank check budget, and a Cold War deadline. When the political goal was met, the money and workforce were redirected. Modern missions are not trying to repeat Apollo. They are trying to build sustainable systems, reusable landers, long duration habitats, and deep space infrastructure. That is a much harder engineering problem than a short term flags and footprints mission. If we wanted another Apollo style landing, we could brute force it the same way we did in the 60s. The challenge today is not “we forgot how.” It is that we are building something bigger, safer, and meant to last. The difficulty is a sign of ambition, not evidence of a hoax.

I was at a steakhouse in Dallas, eating alone at the bar. Next to me was a young guy in a military uniform. He was eating a baked potato and a side salad. Nothing else. Tell him it's a mistake from the kitchen." The bartender grinned. "You got it." Ten minutes later, the huge steak landed in front of the kid. "I didn't order this," he said, panicked. "I can't pay for this." "Kitchen messed up," the bartender lied perfectly. "Manager said to eat it or we have to trash it." The kid ate like he hadn't seen food in a week. When he finished, he asked for the check. "Covered," the bartender pointed at me. The kid turned to me. "Sir, I..." "Thank you for your service," I said. "Get home safe." He stood up, shook my hand, and walked out taller than he walked in. If you have more than you need, build a long table, not a higher fence. 🫡🇺🇸
