The driver said he was 1.6m away from the bike when he passed. Magistrates at Sheffield Magistrates Court deemed his driving legal and found him not guilty of Inconsiderate Driving (or in other words it wasn't a close - pass!) I'm surprised. @SaferRoadsYorks @Bikery1966

What a fantastic result by @n00dles71! The driver apparently represented themselves and thought he could use the "defence" of Greg not being a police officer and not using a court approved camera. Very, very few people are capable of breaking the speed limit, even the 20mph one, on a bicycle. Legal electric-assist bicycles in the UK are limited to 15mph. The problem being identified here is with illegal electric motorcycles and e-scooters, which are nothing to do with cycling.

Surely, there's a law that makes daft ideas like floating bus stops illegal! How can sticking a two-way cycle lane right next to a bus stop and pavement not a health hazard to all? Just look at this awful situation. I wonder if this is Chiswick High Street. Disaster!

This blind man has travelled by bus independently all his life. But he can no longer use this stop as he is must alight onto an island with no idea where he is and has a two-way cycle track to cross! The government has done this so cyclists ‘feel’ safe. Alt below.

Just been nicked for a second time for doing more than 20mph in outer London while a mate of mine in North London faces losing his licence soon for running up 12pts for breaking that limit 4 times. There will be record driving disqualification going through the courts. . Khan will be so pleased. Almost impossible to do 20mph for any period of time. Cars weren’t built to go that slowly.
