@nico_laqua My guess is the product was vibe coded for the most part, the fine grained. And the model used to vibe code the skeleton, was trained on open source data, hence paper mark’s repo.

Sorry for the delayed response to this, I just woke up: The team that made dataroom has stated that they did not use any of papermark’s code and that dataroom was made from scratch with inspiration from existing document sharing softwares, and that this post’s allegations of us stealing code are false. We will do an audit of our code to see if anyone else’s code was used at all, we don’t stand for using open source code without attribution, open source is great and we’re supporters at Corgi. I also directly messaged Marc and even though he’s competitive we’re not exactly launching this mostly free product to make a lot of money, but based upon our team’s representations and the information we have on hand his allegations here are false; we will investigate further though and publish the results of our investigation on our website for everyone to see.

Hey Nico, It looks like you didn't vibe code your data room but stole it from Papermark's open source and enterprise-licensed code. We demand you take this copyright and license infringing product down immediately. It's not moving fast and breaking things, it's fraud. It makes the rest of your business questionable and the YC community look terrible. cc: @garrytan @snowmaker @ycombinator

i invested in a $3M pre-seed round in 2021, and the company has never raised another dollar, never posted a launch video on here, and is about to hit $80M ARR

I am raising a PRE-SEED round. Why do investors want to see $100k ARR?? What do you mean you want to de-risk your investment? Then don't invest at pre-seed! If I have $100k ARR I wouldn't need to raise! Gosh building an MGA is impossible.

I have gotten rejected by so many investors. No one warn on how much it brings you down. “I don’t think you’re a winning team” “I don’t think your product is good” “I don’t think the market is mature enough” I will prove the world I can build a unicorn. Try me.

@brookeleblanc You guys at @UseCorgi NYC should start a newspaper covering start ups called the Daily Beagle and serve it at your coffee shops.

@marikatff @ad0rnai I met this kid once that started his degree at 23 because he traveled for 5 years after high school and now he is 27, in his last semester, and has a $7k/mo apartment his parents pay for. They own data centers in the Middle East

@omooretweets I don’t think a consumer product is needed here. It could make a cute vibe coded consumer app that’d scale to maybe $200k ARR, but the generalized LLM apps do this pretty well.

Killer but underrated consumer AI use case - what I call “pick a plan”: - Do I really need all the tuneups the auto shop recommended? - Should I get the premium insurance plan? - Does the “free” add-on have strings attached? I no longer make these decisions without ChatGPT

@Jason Put aside the socialism, extreme anti-Israel rhetoric, and push for a societal division between the hard-workers and the easy-life-goers, he’s actually a great mayor.

@MurrayHillGuy1 I used to work at an office in midtown up until 6 months ago. Quit to start a company and now I work from home. Looking to get an office soon. Work from home sucks.

How do people work from home 5 days a week and choose to live in NYC? You're paying $4,000/month to sit in the same apartment you'd sit in for at least half the price somewhere else. At least hybrid makes sense: 3 days in the office. 2 days at home. You get the energy, networking, happy hours, random encounters, and actual reason to live here. Someone please tell me how this makes sense or is fun?

@ResearchSnowman I find the cursor acquisition well timed on musks side. It’s all stock and the stock is pumped right now. Definitely going down a lot once investors can start selling en masse.

$SPCX is now becoming vertically integrated in a way OpenAI and Anthropic are not: they own the data centers to the application layer Today, Cursor announced a new 1.5T model, likely pretrained on top of the upcoming Grok v9 medium model. This means Cursor is leveraging SpaceXAI compute in two ways: 1. Larger base model - previous Cursor model was based on the 1T Open Source Kimi model 2. 10-20x more post training training compute Next question, when will we get a Cursor model trained on Grok large? And when will SpaceXAI buy Tesla's custom AI chips? Or maybe SpaceX just buys Tesla 😉

On one hand, I have a young company to run, and it consumes a lot of my time. On the other, this might be the best summer of my life: - Knicks in 5 - World Cup - Puerto Rican Parade in the city - Best weather in NYC - America's 250th birthday on 4th of July The only thing I need now is an actual salary, finalize capacity for my MGA, and life will be just good.
