If we are not grounded in the Word, we will be carried along by what sounds right instead of what is true. Our ears are easily drawn to what is appealing, but Scripture warns that “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires” (2 Timothy 4:3). The problem is not just ignorance, but deception. The heart is not a safe guide. “The heart is more deceitful than all else” (Jeremiah 17:9). What feels convincing to us can still be completely out of step with God. That is why the Word is not optional for the believer. It is the standard by which everything is tested. “Examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good” (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Even the Bereans were called noble because they measured every teaching against Scripture (Acts 17:11). If we neglect the Word, we do not remain neutral. We become vulnerable. “We are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians 4:14). So the issue is not what sounds good, but what God has said. Truth is not defined by how it feels, but by what is written. And if we are not shaped by Scripture, we will be shaped by something else.

What other specific procedures are you talking about? Since you brought up suction, It matters what exactly is being suctioned, no? The use of suction to remove bleeding in a surgical field vs the remnants of a recently intentionally killed human are quite different things. It is the murder of the human child and the methods being used, not the suction itself that people are exposing

@BasedMikeLee @RepBrandonGill @realBrandonGill It’s called reproductive healthcare. You clearly know nothing abt abortion, when it’s required & necessary, & what the procedures are. You could use the same terminology abt any medical procedure where they use suction another procedures that can be made to sound equally barbaric

Cruel, barbaric, and dehumanizing acts are sometimes buried in legalistic euphemisms for purposes of public discourse Those who defend such acts don’t always want to discuss the meaning behind the sanitized terminology @realBrandonGill illustrates that point well in this clip

My favorite kind of abortion is the kind that's safe, legal, accessible, and none of your damn business to regulate. And no amount of fearmongering by describing what goes on to a half-ounce fetus with no consciousness, self-awareness, or feeling of pain is going to change that.
Brandon Gill@realBrandonGill

Which abortion is your favorite? The one where the unborn baby's body is crush and sucked out with a hose or the one where the baby is cut apart with a knife? Please enlighten us.

Plot twist: Leftist @billmaher just DESTROYED Billie Eilish and leftist “kids” who “don’t know what the f*ck” America is about." “I want to… say something about Western civilization. Kids, you don’t know what the f*ck it is.” “They think Western means white—and white means bad. First of all, everything bad that white people did, people of color did it, too. The Japanese before World War II and during World War II. And Genghis Khan, and I could go on and on.” “The left is very down on America, very down on the West. And it’s ironic because the West has also given us everything that makes your life good here. Don’t ask Billie Eilish or Chappell Roan about what the Western values are, because they’ll just say it’s about oppression.” “But it’s not about oppression. It’s about rule of law. It’s about respect for minorities. It’s about democracy. It’s about scientific inquiry. These are all good things that came from the Western world. I wish that schools would teach that again.” REPOST and amplify THIS message! #thinblueline #Lawenforcement

@RepShriThanedar Finally someone is talking with candor about the horror of what abortion actually is: literally murder. You can’t hide behind euphemisms anymore. It is creepy to call it “women’s private business”

I understand the frustration, but we need to be careful where we place the blame. Scripture does not say the Spirit causes us to fall. The Spirit preserves and convicts. “He who began a good work in us will perfect it” (Philippians 1:6). When we grow cold, the cause is closer to home. “You have left your first love” (Revelation 2:4). And James is clear, “Each one is tempted when he is carried away by his own lust” (James 1:14). Leaders do carry responsibility. “They will give an account” (Hebrews 13:17). But they are not the final cause of our condition. We are still called to watch over our own hearts. “Keep your heart with all diligence” (Proverbs 4:23). So we don’t excuse ourselves by pointing outward. We examine ourselves, return to the Word, and repent where needed. The answer is not blame, but returning. “Return to Me, and I will return to you” (Malachi 3:7).

America will not be lectured about civility by far right extremists in Congress. Particularly those who provide aid and comfort to hundreds of violent rioters who brutally beat police officers on January 6. There will be ample time to vigorously debate the issues of the day. Now is a time to unify.

The DOJ's indictment of the Southern Poverty Law Center is a chilling attack on civil rights advocacy. "Trump's DOJ has been weaponized by dangerous forces. Every organization and individual engaged in social justice should be alarmed. What we are seeing in real time is an administration seeking to leverage its position to target individuals and organizations that do not agree with its political thought." — NAACP President and CEO @DerrickNAACP Stand with us. The false teacher does not remove religion. He reshapes it so it costs nothing. He speaks in elevated, spiritual language, but avoids the one thing the gospel demands, repentance and surrender. Instead of confronting sin, he accommodates it. “They will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires” (2 Timothy 4:3). What he offers sounds holy, but it aligns perfectly with what the world already wants, comfort without conviction, blessing without obedience, assurance without transformation. “They promise them freedom while they themselves are slaves of corruption” (2 Peter 2:19). The true gospel is not easy. “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself” (Luke 9:23). It calls us away from the world, not deeper into it. So the test is simple. If the message leaves us comfortable in sin and untouched by the cross, it is not from God. Because truth does not flatter. It changes.

Charging the Southern Poverty Law Center with a federal crime for paying informants to help dismantle hate groups is an outrageous weaponization of the Dept of Justice and the FBI. As someone who has been a prosecutor and has taken on the Klan I can tell you that use of paid informants is a common tactic used to dismantle drug cartels, the mob and extremist groups on both the right and the left. It is clear that all civil rights organizations are in the cross hairs of this Administration and that folks, puts everyone at risk.

We need to ask... If the organization at the center of America's entire post-Charlottesville "democracy" infrastructure had a supervised informant (or worse, agent provocateur) inside the event that justified building that infrastructure... ... what does that make the infrastructure? THREAD END.

🧵🚨 THREAD: How the Charlottesville rally and SPLC birthed an entire billion-dollar-plus "democracy" ecosystem 🚨 11 federal counts. Wire fraud. Money laundering conspiracy. But here's what the SPLC headlines are missing: • The indictment describes a paid informant in the leadership chat that PLANNED Unite the Right • That informant "helped coordinate transportation" to the rally... at SPLC's direction • There is ONE publicly identified organizer whose documented role was transportation coordinator • His Discord posts about running over protesters were made 26 DAYS before Heather Heyer was killed by a car • The indictment says postings were made "under the supervision of the SPLC" • Charlottesville then became the founding event for a billion-dollar political machine • SPLC installed itself as that machine's definitional gatekeeper I report. You draw your own conclusions. As always, patience as I pull together the thread. 👇

There is narrative coming out that they are not funding “groups” But “informants” People that the indictment labels as “field sources” It’s fascinating wordsmithing that is being used for narrative formation and plausible deniability of involvement in actions that these groups might be doing. When having the discussion about this watch for the twist /wriggle out based on semantics. Instead think of questions that ask for accountability of the actions of the “field sources” -why does the SPLC have “field sources” working as their agents? -what specifically are those individual “field sources” doing within the groups they are working within? -where else is this happening? -why is there obfuscation of the money trail as indicated within the indictment? justice.gov/opa/media/1437…
