@jamiljivani I think it's way worse when you lie to people and tell them what they want to hear, for the sole purpose of furthering your career. But we can agree to disagree on these things. As your party says, the main goal is to win #BringItHome

My latest on the battle between cynicism and principles in Canadian politics. "You are right to be frustrated by floor-crossings that make your vote less consequential. You deserve clear and credible alternatives to the status quo." jamiljivani.substack.com/p/the-cynical-…

@mario4thenorth Dude, just put "Paid CPC shill" in you're bio. You'd be calling PP Canada's greatest PM ever if he was PM and got a majority through floor crossing. What a sad thing for Canada that this joke of a party is the official opposition.

Carney will be the first Prime Minister, IN HISTORY, To achieve a Majority government through floor crossings. The most disrespectful thing that can be done to Canadian voters, effectively invalidating their votes and wishes. Now, imagine Trump did the same. Canadians would lose their mind. That’s why our country is lost. We care more about US politics than our own country.

@EquityNetworkD That's not what Carney said. He said the rules based order was partially fiction and couldnt be relied upon because very powerful nations could ignore the rules when it suited them. At what point did he lecture the world and defend it?

An important read. Economist/journalist Erica Ifill nails it. The PM lectures the world in Davos about defending the rules based order, then shrugs when allies launch strikes that violate it. We think it’s obvious, if the victims were white, intern’l law would matter.

This week in my column I wrote about the clownery that is the PM’s handling of the Iran War which completely flies in the face of his Davos speech hilltimes.com/story/2026/03/…

@bradcsmith @mario4thenorth @JasminLaine_ Is this guess based on the actual cuts being made to the CBC? Maybe you should change your tagline to "Honest No BS Best Guesses Based on Nothing to Monetize Content". Content is king.

@mario4thenorth @JasminLaine_ In my best guess based on patterns and this move. They will eliminate the subs slowly to all media factions in Canada. CBC will be the only one to remain. And then we have east Berlin tv .. Just a guess. But track the money to the other big three and this will tell ya

BREAKING: He called Poilievre a threat to the CBC, now, he has defunded it. CarneyWatch.ca just sent the update. The CBC's funding for 2026–27 now sits at its lowest level since 2023–24, before the election, before the promise, before any of the speeches about democracy and national identity. In February, Marc Miller stated: "Not funding this broadcaster or suggesting that we cut its funding would, I believe, undermine public confidence in this immensely important broadcaster, not only in terms of the reliability of news, but also in terms of democracy."

@EquityNetworkD I saw a forum where a presenter talked about things like crisscross apple sauce, school bells and lines being examples of anti-black racism in HWDSB. The reasoning being these things are carceral. Is this a POV that we need to address and talk about more?

Absolutely. We constantly hear of anti-Black racism involving educators in Hamilton schools. Recently, a form was sent out to parents/CGs with the option to opt-out of a Black History Month presentation! We are still awaiting any explanation/reparations for the harm this caused.
Educator@DrAnnLopez

Anti-Black racism is systemic in education systems. These teachers were caught but let’s not forget what happens in classrooms, the curriculum, discipline, and so much more. @TCDSB must be intentional about anti-racist education.

Apparently the smartest guy on the planet can't tell the difference between someone killed by a random who is charged with murder and someone killed by the govt and claim its justified no matter what any video shows. Or he is full of shit.

You can identify all the greatest countries in the world by asking a simple question: "Is it cool to be rich there?" Countries that celebrate success and still have strong safety nets: Singapore, Denmark and Switzerland. Every country that has gotten the answer to this question wrong has become economically irrelevant and a vassal state of another. We should properly take care of everyone, but you need resources and leverage that only come in success. Many countries in Europe have become examples of not getting this right.

@NedKurucMP @CPC_HQ @PierrePoilievre We need to do a deep dive on this. If the bill actually makes it a crime to read out parts of the bible, you are justified. If it doesn't say that, you should resign. @grok does the Canadian Bill C-9 make it a crime for people to read out passages from the bible?

Today I tabled a petition to scrap Liberal Bill C-9. Verses from religious texts should not be illegal, this is blatant Liberal overreach. Canadians should be allowed to exercise their freedom of religion without the fear of being prosecuted. The Liberal government needs to stay out of places of worship and respect Canadians religious freedoms.

BREAKING: PM Carney to announce more GST credits today, in a grocery store. Great. But instead of sending more cash (which risks inflating food prices even more), why not cut the GST on food altogether? A GST cut would lower prices at the checkout, immediately, for all Canadians — not just some, not later, not via bureaucracy.
