When Sarah Barratt was threatened with rape by 3 men while poolside at the @MarriottIntl in Qatar, her husband Craig complained to the front desk, and they were told the men hd been kicked out. It was a lie. Days later, coming off the elevator, the Barratts encountered the men again. Craig was furious, and posted a negative review on TripAdvisor. Craig is a businessman who operates in the Middle East, and when he next returned to Qatar, he was arrested, detained, fined, and deported, having been convicted in absentia of damaging the Marriott’s reputation. Worse, his inability to work in Qatar has destroyed his financial security. He and his wife are selling possessions online, and are considering selling their home. Marriott International, a Western company, used the draconian laws restricting speech in Qatar in order to have Craig Barratt punished for leaving a negative review on TripAdvisor - a review that was fully justified and supported by the facts. This is appalling behavior on their part, and I sincerely hope that this story will be circulated as widely as possible. All Marriott had to do was apologize. Instead, they destroyed a guest’s life for daring to complain about having been lied to, and about having been made unsafe on Marriott property by the actions of Marriott staff. thetimes.com/article/447b8e…

@_Zojka Unfortunately "sexual assault" is pretty broad and includes a lot less than rape, but it's still too short a sentence

A wool jumper, made in 1985, washed in cold water once a month, worn through three decades of British winters, would currently be sitting in someone's wardrobe doing fine. A polyester fleece, made in 2026, machine-washed weekly, will start to lose its structural integrity within three to five years, shed an estimated 700,000 microfibres per wash into the water system, and end its life in landfill where it will persist for approximately 200 years. The wool jumper: - Came from a sheep - Required grass and rain - Will biodegrade entirely within three years of being buried - Will keep you warm when wet - Will not melt if exposed to a flame - Will probably outlive you - Cost £80 in 1985, which is £230 today, and represents the entire jumper budget for the next forty years The polyester fleece: - Came from an oil refinery in Texas - Required hexane extraction, polymerisation and dyeing in three different factories on three different continents - Will not biodegrade in any human timeframe - Will get cold and clammy when wet - Will melt against your skin if exposed to a flame - Will be in landfill within five years - Cost £40 in 2026, which means you'll buy ten of them across the next forty years for a total of £400, and the planet will still be eating the residue in the year 2226 But yes. The sheep is the problem. The sheep, standing in a field in mid-Wales, growing a renewable fibre from grass and rain. The sheep is the problem.

🚨 I’ve heard a lot in my time.. this is unbelievable They found a gut microbe that completely eliminated tumour cells.... and they found it in a FROG. Outperforming chemo and checkpoint inhibitors A 100% response rate... they tried to re-introduce the cancer to the animals... and “the tumours couldn’t grow” Jimm Dore [@jimmy_dore] - “It seems like a crazy idea... 'hey let’s take some bacteria from a frogs gut... see if that cures cancer’... how do they come up with that?” Nicolas Hulscher [@NicHulscher] - “They can’t just patent a natural gut bacteria... we need independent scientists on this... they must have had an idea previously.. some previous research.. the understanding that these amphibians don’t usually get cancer... they went to the Microbiome”

Proper proud moment 🇬🇧 Two lads from my small workplace were watching @Asmongold's reaction to @RupertLowe10's brilliant initial Restore Britain video. Now they're both fully IN. Kept hearing them talking through the policies all afternoon saying 'Well, it's just common sense' to everything 😂 One hasn't voted in years. The other was going to vote Reform. This is what it's about. Real Brits waking up and choosing to put British people first. This is how we build it. Get talking to people you know. Once they read policies and watch the videos, they'll understand. Let’s Restore Britain! #RestoreBritain (Still waiting for the Asmongold/Rupert Lowe video)

@deely4871 I went to Follow you, Deely, but a  blank bio does not help me, or other potential followers, to make a decision.. So, to satisfy my insatiable curiosity, might I ask as to whether you are a Member of #RestoreBritain If you are, please consider putting, on the first line of your bio PROUD MEMBER OF RESTORE BRITAIN 😅🇬🇧 If you are a Follower/Supporter, then I will try and persuade you to become a Member. If you are none of these, then you will need working on 😁😁🇬🇧

@Inspirebloom1 @DineshDSouza @Inspirebloom1 Why is Haiti the poorest country in the W. Hemisphere? Well, they killed tens of thousands of white people. Haiti's average I.Q 68. Dominican Republic: ~84 A 15-point national IQ difference. Maybe they shouldn't have killed their white people?

@DineshDSouza That framing is overly simplistic people can recognize Haiti’s beauty and also the severe hardship many Haitians face. A better debate is how to address the crisis humanely and responsibly.

If you say Haiti is a hellhole, the Left says: “How dare you say that? Haiti is a beautiful country!” If you say Haitian illegals need to go back home, the Left says: “How dare you say that? We would be sending them back to a life of misery, hardship and death!”

@Inspirebloom1 @DineshDSouza Haiti, is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Nominal GDP per capita $1,600–2,700 (2024–2025 est.). High poverty (50–60% below extreme lines), low HDI (0.552, ranked ~158th globally). Why are the 2 countries so different? Why the disparity?

@Inspirebloom1 @DineshDSouza Compare Haiti to Dominican Republic, shared geography, climate, history of colonialism): Similar GDP/capita around 1960. Today, DR is 6–8x richer, with sustained growth, tourism, manufacturing, better governance post-dictatorship.

@Inspirebloom1 @DineshDSouza @Inspirebloom1 "A better debate is how to address the crisis humanely and responsibly." Yes, exactly, that is THEIR, Haiti's debate. Unless you are racist and think that other races cannot be responsible for themselves, that we should decide issues for them? Are you racist?

@John_Mphatsoe @Jason2bartlett S. Africa is nearly bankrupt, now the US has cut the aid tap, Debt-to-GDP ~79%. Trump admin halted $400-580M annual US aid over land expropriation, farm attacks & foreign policy clashes. No more subsidies, bridge funding drying up. Rainbow nation’s lifeline just got severed.

If you're a branch organiser for Restore and you're wondering what you can do to fundraise, take a look at these ideas. You'll find a lot of these things being done all the time by your local church! Restore is a political party but it should also be more than that - we should aim to build an entire society of it: a community for patriotic men and women to come together, to network and to support each other through thick and thin.
JR Bennett 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿@BennettUK_

To further my suggestion, here's a screenshot of ideas on fundraising, taken from a document I'm compiling:
