@bengold So true. This is exactly what's spoiling early career designers... I've seen them work 4-5 days on a single screen, just moving around things, calling it "iterations" or "attention to detail"

People are posting the most basic designs and acting like they painted the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

Stay up all night, or preferably wake up early… but witness an October 6am before the month is over. Do some creative work at that hour. Sketch, write, or just take a walk. There isn’t another month with such perfect weather.

My heart and mind oscillate between wanting to do more, and wanting to rest. I want to earn more money, learn more skills, buy more things. Part of me wants to sleep, workout, read books and eat whatever I want. I understand that driving factors like money or peace both indicate safety. Something that might be missing from my childhood. But what am I complaining about? So many kids lack even the tiny bit of safety I had. Should I think like this? Everything is quiet at 4 am, but still so noisy.... Is it okay to spend a year doing just what I'm supposed to do, not what I think would be ambitious or brings me more success? Is it alright to rest? My favorite feeling is — sunset, orange sky, I'm walking on the road with my earphones on, listening to a podcast, or @CigsAfterSexx ... nice weather... no pressure, no thoughts, just walking slowly.... slowly... How does one recreate that feeling at 4 am?

Left: Learning to code, tiny desk, dreaming of $10k months. Right: Team of 15, own office space, aiming for $4M next year. The view got better, setup is different, but motivation to grow is still the same. Grateful for the journey so far. Not done building yet.
