@boringmarketer Glad to see you are on the road to recovery! It’s crazy how bad sitting can be for your hips after working for a decade.

They had me up and moving 90 minutes out of the operating room. Using a walker of course, cruising the halls and even going up and down stairs!

Over the past few years I’ve been having consistent pain in my hips. Extremely limited range of motion, and arthritic flare ups that left me feeling useless from a physical point of view. Literally felt like I was 90. It started affecting my mood, my body, my wellbeing. I had trouble running around with my young boys, picking things up off the ground, sitting and working, exercising , etc. I tried physio, yoga, you name it. I’m 38 years old. Today I had BOTH my hips replaced. And it went great. I’m so excited to have a new lease on movement, pain free. The boring marketer is a bionic man! While I’m OOO this week, I’ve never felt more confident in our amazing team to keep delivering results to clients and operating without me. A few years ago, stepping “out of the business” would have been a non starter. Check out the before and after pics: I’m amazed at what they can do these days. Grateful for my doc and all the great care and especially my wife who hasn’t left my side!

@swyxio Def need to be active about it. But the amount is growth I’ve seen from you, I feel like you’re closer than you realize. These things often fall in to place when we least expect it.

Will also say that although previous success doesn’t bring happiness, it made it much easier to prioritize and make space for the things that do.

💯 I hope what people take from this is that success won’t make you happy. Sadly, I heard that line my whole life but still wasted yrs learning it. The grind is necessary, but the outcomes for you, your team, and your product, will improve if done mindfully

@SandroMaglione @EffectTS_ This looks cool but extraordinarily convoluted for the basic functionality being provided. There are so many levels of indirection here that I’m not sure the trade off between type safety and simplicity is the right one for most projects.
