anyone else felt the vibe shift? it basically happened overnight. it’s like we all came to the realization that the tech right is over. it’s run its course. I can’t explain why I think this. I just feel it deep inside. the world yearns for a new direction

The coolest thing out there right now is just still having empathy and values. Red pilling, vice signaling, OUT. Caring, believing, IN.

Taste is cultivated in formative years
You can’t just achieve taste
For many it’s almost impossible unless you were born rich in a tier 1 city
Pinterest mood boards can’t replace traveling to Rome or going over to your friends house whose apartment/mansion has been curated via a million dollar interior decorator and art director
Beauty is truth

Tech bros will never have taste because taste evolves from liking things purely for their own sake, and tech bros cannot conceive of value that is not tied to profit or clout

this week's column is for all my taste bros out there

@annakatherines_ “Great taste will create great products.”
Thanks bro. Steve Jobs figured that out 40 years ago, and that awareness dissipated in Silicon Valley not long after he died.

Looking for some amazing designer:
Someone who will redesign our screen.studio website.
We want it to feel like Apple landing pages, but with some unique personality.
Do you know someone? Only extremely strong portfolios please
English

@_andresjasso Thanks for proving everyone’s point. We value your service.

everyone: "AI has no taste and can't design UI..."
meanwhile, claude helps me in 1-2 prompts to build minimal UI components that look damn near close to an experienced designer who understands spacing, type and color.
andres@_andresjasso
I know everyone here loves to craft UI design themselves and doesn't believe AI has enough taste for it... but wow I can't say i'm not impressed with the way claude can design minimal UI components that are damn close to tasty. It's a good starting point.

@melodyskim Dude posted a mid landing page and go “it’s so over for designers” - I mean if he’s designing stuff like that it might be over for him

As a design partner to a lot of zero to one startups, I can assure you that they will still want a designer to take care of all that.
Sameer@samtwtss
bro, it's so over for designers google stitch is insane. 🤯

@saismo @dotmariusz It’s interesting but kind of all over the place

They sold us "vibecoder freedom."
Reality: Unusual Whales just handed Claude the keys to front-run wars for profit.
Live congressional trades show lawmakers beating the market 2-3× on Raytheon Lockheed during Iran tensions. Polymarket contracts on US strikes routinely hit $500M+ volume. Oil volatility jumps 15-20% overnight on the flow.
Big picture shift: Markets now price American-Israeli military moves faster than any intelligence briefing—because the people writing the briefings are the ones trading them.
They call it tools for traders. The rest of the world calls it legalized insider war profiteering.
Question for the timeline: Does this cement forever US-Israel financial supremacy or finally give the Global South the data to bet big against it?
English

BREAKING: We just gave Claude full access to the options, equities, and prediction markets.
The Unusual Whales MCP Server plugs into any AI and streams live, structured market data on demand.
Build trading bots, smart money dashboards, screeners. Whatever you want.
Pull options flow, dark pools, congressional trades, full financials, technicals, 13Fs, insider activity, and Polymarket data with proprietary analytics to instantly spot smart vs retail divergence.
It is the most have tool for all vibecoders and traders.

@dotmariusz Stripe Press books are incredibly. Does that one live up to the hype? I have it on my list but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Not sure why 🤔

@intentionull @DCinvestor Frank Herbert already warned about this in Dune remember?
English

@DCinvestor As it should be. AI doesn't push innovation, it destroys critical thinking and puts society in a loop.
It has it's place, but it shouldn't be relied on. At the end of the day it's just 1's and 0's controlled by whoever created it, just like any other software.
English

@DCinvestor almost universally hated people: *make AI*
people on here: wow I wonder why people hate AI
English

@zendadddy Just a thing that connects a bunch of todo lists and calendars and what I want to do and generates and sends me an agenda each morning.

designers used to get shunned for personal projects, side-quests etc. give yourself 100% to the company and don't think outside.
now with AI, those who kept making things on the side (the curious ones, tool nerds, obsessive ones) are about to THRIVE.
everything’s open now. it's all possible, what are you going to build?

there are so many successful companies in the world
they all use different programming languages, tech, processes, hiring strategies, etc
and that adds up to whether or not it's fun to work there
good thing to remember these days because AI is making people think there's going to be one optimal way of being successful
