With the world looking rather fragile at the moment, I've decided to post a #dailydogwalk pic. I hope they bring just a tiny bit of positivity to your day💙 We have 2x cocker spaniels, so head out twice every day...

@SwailesRuth Yes, when you're widowed you have a choice - to sink or swim. I chose the latter. Family, friends and life in general can still bring beautiful times. Sending love, particularly at this time of year.💕

This time of year is always tricky for me. But it's a glorious day and I promised Pete that our lives wouldn't end when his did. So I'm going out to spend it with people I love and make the most of it. Life is short, none of us is getting out alive, get out there and enjoy it!

The flowers and trees that my dear late father planted in the garden always make me smile. Today is 19 years since he passed and seeing the flowers start to bloom and the new shoots growing on the fruit trees and rose bushes brings much comfort to my heart.❤️🌿🤲🏼

@ed_objective It is so sad. I’m all for hearing children’s voices but get the timing right and don’t unsettle them months before anything is even likely to happen. Gets on my…..!

12 - I hate people asking who I want to live with. I don’t know. Me - I know. It’s not easy. Life’s tricky. They’re just asking your opinion. 12 - I want someone to decide for me. Just tell me what to do. 8 - I want to stay here until I’m as old as you and we get a puppy. 💔❤️

Hello again @PardoeMary @dare_richard and @MathsTeacherKYP I've tried asking Google for the correct terminology but clearly haven't used an accurate enough prompt. Can you please help by reminding me what this drawing parallel lines technique is correctly known as in geometry?

@dare_richard @TsuiAllen @MathsTeacherKYP Yes ... when I was about 8 years old (1000s of years ago at Oakend School in Gerrards Cross - in case anyone else who was there then is on X 🤣) we did actually stitch patterns like this with coloured wool & big needles on pieces of card!!! 🧶🪡

@TsuiAllen Hey @TsuiAllen I did my MA while working full time as a locum leader in a school that had had significant turbulence and I understand the reality of studying alongside being in school. It's tough! But you're doing an amazing job and it will be so worth it. Hang on in their 💪

Almost three years ago to the day. Am really sorry but for those who are like me working full time, this is a real struggle. Am just surviving right now and focused on getting across the finish line...

Well hello @KingsECS @crestem_kcl I would be delighted to accept and will be doing so in accordance with the offer letter I have received. Will now have to also see if I manage to secure one of the scholarships associated with the programme...

An A3 artwork for the start of spring tomorrow. The blossom on the trees, lighter days and the way everything in nature wakes up after winter in a burst of colour is just so beautiful. ‘Spring is when life's alive in everything.’ (Christina Rossetti) 🖊️🩷💚🤍🖤 #art #spring

I need adult company. At the dentist today and you know when they poke at your teeth and shout out numbers, putting them into a computer…6,4,6,5,3,4,2,1,4,6,7,…and I laugh with the pokey thing in my mouth and squeal 6..7..doing this⬇️ Neither of them even cracked a smile🤦‍♀️😂

@PJSkinnerAuthor The relatively recent trend for asking for food from a menu by saying “can I get the burger/chicken/pizza etc” 😩🙄 If I worked in a restaurant or fast food place I’d have punched someone by now 😆👀👀👀

Good Grammar? Let's have fun. What's the phrase that most annoys you as a grammatical pedant (or average English speaker). Mine is 'I was stood, I was sat' etc instead of 'I was standing, I was sitting.' Also 'he gave it to myself' Argh - 'he gave it to me'. What's yours?
