@AmeetRai This is when you know you're evolving to a different level. You start understanding how important the money you're managing is and not thinking like a amateur. Instead like a professional.

As traders our journeys are split into two phases The knowledge phase where we consume, read and are receptive to theories, concepts, ideas on how we should trade The simplification phase where after trying & failing we peel back the layers & start focusing on what works for us

When there is money to be made in markets this is the time you press the gas Sleep less, look for setups more, try and grab money from somewhere. If other people got positions working you can too.

$HIMS Not a fan of trading stocks that are weak in a ripping market, but a news catalyst that drops when the stock is in a great technical spot is worth the risk, IMO Around 2:10pm, RFK said the FDA would be relaxing regulations on peptides, and $HIMS put in 5min volume bar that was twice what is normally traded at the open. Price pushed over PDH, and I got long $HIMS, $HIMZ, and some weekly options (OTM to trim, and ITM to exercise if this thing starts to go insane). A "news trade" like this will work immediately if it's going to work at all, which allowed me to risk a break below the opening print; effectively a 1.5% trade risk, and thereby allowed me to be more aggressive on the sizing, because I know where I'm leaving if I'm wrong. The stock closed up 9.8% from my entry (4.2R), and the calls up 145% in profit. The primary thesis for this is the 34% short interest on the stock, which is really the only reason I believe this is worth trading. Additionally, my portfolio has been fully allocated with many leading tech names since I began buying on April 7th. If that weren't the case, and I was underexposed, I would not be looking for "performance booster" trade like this.

the number one rule of volume in technical analysis: breakouts without volume are fake. if price approaches resistance and there's no spike in volume, the move doesn't have the energy to push through. it's going to fail. but when volume rushes in as price hits resistance, that's real buying pressure. that's when breakouts actually hold. always check volume before trusting a breakout. the candle tells you what happened. volume tells you if it's real.

@Jduntrades For sure, it only sets you back which makes you having to grind back negative realized P&L just to get back to b/e. It’s a hamster wheel in itself.

Unpopular opinion: The removal of the PDT rule doesn’t do a ton of positive for retail trading You can / always have been able to have a cash account that limits you to that amount of trading capital every day before the cash settles next day if you have LESS than $25,000 Most traders are BETTER OFF taking less trades with a better edge As a retail trader, specifically with less than $25,000, you should be protecting your capital while you learn and build confidence, not nuking a bunch of trades every day / week. Discipline over dopamine.

@GnT_Trades Risk management is the profession that we’re in. Not buying things at random with undefined risk and calling it a trade. Must have these parameters set in place before hand so execution is automatic.

Your stop loss is the only thing in trading you have complete control over. You can't control the market, the news, or how your stock reacts. But you can control exactly how much you're willing to lose. The best traders I know define their risk before they even think about the reward. Everything else is secondary.

The market still hasn’t even broken out of this seven month consolidation. What’s important to realize is that there’s likely so much opportunity coming, in a few months most people won’t even remember this initial thrust higher. In June-July 2025 nobody was focused on what happened in April, there were so many new names and breakouts taking place it didn’t even matter. Hot markets get hotter than people remember… seven months of sideways has people forgetting what it’s like.

Worth reading if you are a young man. 18-35 year old men are in trouble. Half of my friends are fully addicted to sports betting, prediction markets, 0dtes. I see people with young kids becoming fully absorbed to gambling. But they can't admit it because they're "not losing that much". As a man, we want to provide, produce, and build a future for our family. But sometimes judgement gets clouded when things aren't working or we're struggling...so we look for "quick" wins. The dopamine of feeling like we're worth something. Or to keep up on social media. Or to feel useful to the world. It's a man's kryptonite. You have to protect every dollar with your life. That $100 of "fun money" is your future daughter's birthday present. Because eventually, when you're trying to "make it all back", that $100 turns into -$10,000...fast. Next thing you know, your son's college tuition is sitting on kalshi's balance sheet. Men. I am asking you to stop the degenerate gambling. Compounding is a wonder you can't even comprehend, but you won't experience it if you keep resetting at zero. Brick by brick, men. DMs are always open.

If a person is 25+ he will never change The more time passes, the more people are stuck with what they learnt growing up It takes massive effort to pick up new skills, new ways of thinking, once you become an adult If you were boring until 25 you can't magically become fun If you were shy it's harder to become crazy If you were lazy it's difficult to become a person who has crazy work ethic Yeah you can fake it temporarily out of necessity but it's not YOUR SOUL. Ex. Some lazy guy working hard cause he's broke right now. And soon as he makes a lil bit of money he goes back to his default settings of being an idiot. YOUR SOUL = how you were born + how you lived from 15 to 25.

If you are playing the possible follow through day tomorrow. - Let the morning profit takers come in. - Let the LOD be established - Then focus on your favorite names - Then look for the VWAP reclaim. Don't overcomplicate life. And don't chase a 2.5% gap up into the falling 50sma/breakdown spot for $SPY.

harsh truth, but if you can't follow your rules for 8-12 weeks, you don't deserve to succeed trading is one of the easiest jobs out there. you sit behind a desk, click buttons, and make money and you're telling me you can't control your emotions? if you think trading is hard, try working any blue collar job. or go to college for 12 years to become a neurosurgeon you have the opportunity to make so much money, and all you have to do is be patient and follow your plan if you can't do that, then trading isn't for you

Bitcoin topped before the market and hasn’t made a new low in two months. The leading risk barometer is worth monitoring as a gauge on sentiment + risk appetite.
