@dusty_irl @LLMJunky @theo Ah, a fellow post-IDE slopforker of the Pi persuasion. I went the Electron shell route, which has its quirks. A sidecar browser (à la Artifacts, Canvas) is a great genUI primitive. I’m trying to figure out whether to do it via MCP-UI or Pi extensions.

@LLMJunky @theo i did the same but wrote my own from scratch using pi sdk and native swift with wkwebview. electron is the absolute worst lol. we don’t need everything to be cross platform. t3code is just a cli wrapper, which imo makes electron use even more egregious. lean codebase is better!

got an awesome demo submission from @gener8ive Wingmate. An Electron desktop shell for Pi. Similar to Codex Desktop, T3-code, etc, but built with Pi as the harness backend.

@ProgramWithAi Meta-prompting/programming is the way.

What we are doing is prompt engineering engineering. Models think by creating tokens, either by being trained to ramble to themselves, or by using tools to add tokens programmatically. By RL training or building agent harnesses, we’re helping the models build the prompt (call it context who cares) that will cause them to generate the answer. But most of the lift is done by the agent. They’re the actual prompt engineers.

@Suhail Quality is the opposite of slop. But, if you’ve read Zen & the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, you know Quality takes 30+ chapters to define, and even then, you have no idea what Pirsig really said. Also, novelty is in the A-eye of the beholder. New for me is rarely new, per se.

The next frontier is breaking cynicism of this belief: "many people are interpreting this as evidence that LLMs are now creative, that they can genuinely produce something new without human feedback."
