I attended the official opening of the Tribunals Shared Services Centre in Nyeri, an initiative aimed at centralizing administrative support and registry functions for various tribunals. The initiative advances the devolution of tribunal services, reduces delays, and eliminates operational duplication.
This is the second Centre after Nairobi and Kisumu. I reaffirmed the JSC's commitment to strengthening tribunals as key pillars of specialized justice delivery.
I emphasized the importance of integrity, professionalism, accountability, and independence within tribunals in order to sustain public confidence and enhance the effectiveness of the justice system.
I also highlighted key milestones achieved, including the renewal and appointment of tribunal members across several tribunals, the appointment of Acting Chairpersons to ensure continuity, and the successful operationalization of new tribunals.
Currently, 75 advocates serve across different tribunals.

Young Advocates and pupils need something that will unite us. Law firms milk our knowledge dry. We have lost dignity, girlfriends and boyfriends in equal measure.
Every end month we are paid as little as 15k. On the other hand Partners keep changing number plates. Shida ni sisi wote tunapenda kubishana and such a union can never be alive.

@gourdarrow @UGMParty I have always been curious to know why you prefer him as your preferred candidate, i would glady want to pick some notes from you

Kikuyus know Ruto is winning in 2027. All these are desperate attempts to remove Ruto before 2027.
Wakale wanawaangalia tu. If you think you will take power from them through force, you are mistaken.
I do not want to speak about Luos because we would rather have a dog than a Kikuyu at Statehouse.

@quincygitahi The Civil Procedure Act had provided for case managers. Had these been employed, judges and magistrates wouldn't be so swamped with petty issues

Just do away with the many mentions we’re being treated to in the court. Why do we mention a matter to confirm filing of submissions

We often criticize bad JOs and forget the good ones, but today I want to appreciate Hon. Dominic Macharia of Maua Law Court for his diligence and efficiency, ensuring matters proceed without delay and interlocutory applications are determined within 30 days.@Kenyajudiciary

@KJA_Kenya a very good judge she was. When she presided at the High Court, one was never worried that the other side will play monkey business. We need more of such. May she find happiness in retirement

Justice Hannah Okwengu was a prodigious judge. Her 42-year-long judicial career, 13 of them as a Court of Appeal judge, was marked by integrity, diligence, and firmness. At a Farewell Luncheon held in her honour by the CoA on Friday, she was presented with a 6-volume (1,255 Cases) Compendium of some of her Decisions. Below is a link to the impressive jurisprudential legacy of Justice Okwengu @Kenyajudiciary @KMJA_KENYA

Key Changes Proposed in The Constitution of Kenya (Amendment) Bill, 2026 (Senate Bill No. 7):
The bill introduces a 5-year "cooling-off" period for county governors. The proposed amendments to Article 99(2) and 193(2) seek to disqualify current county governors or anyone who held the office of county governor within the 5 years immediately preceding an election from being elected as a Senator or MCA.
This does NOT however apply to the National Assembly elections.
