@ryanswalters73 @JoeLbsTweet I get that you're stuck on the word opinion, but in the case of SCOTUS, "opinion" is legalese for "determination." Try to square what you're saying with the concept of 3 CO-EQUAL branches and get back to me.

Ok dude, let’s educate you. Read the first line of the Constitution, Article 1, Section 1: “All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives.” Court opinions are just that, opinions. They are not law. All lawmaking power rests with Congress. Congress also has vast authority over the federal judiciary. Don’t insult us when it’s you who lack basic civics and constitutional history.

Apparently, according to all the legal and historical experts here on X, our Constitution, specifically the 14th Amendment, provides that any foreigner who is 9 months pregnant can come to America and have the baby, who then becomes a US citizen with full rights and privileges, just like any of us who have been here for centuries. A thimble full of brains will render such thinking as utter madness! That was never the intention of the 14th Amendment, no matter what delusions leftists conjure up! If you think that was the intended policy, you are worthy of no intellectual respect whatsoever!

Everybody CALM DOWN! So they shot one of our Planes Down. RELAX. This happens in EVERY WAR. The situation is “under control”—-one guy has already been Rescued. FAKE NEWS is treating this like it’s 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina all wrapped up into One. CHILL!

@raznet61 @ryanswalters73 @JoeLbsTweet I'm sorry your school system failed you. Ignoring a law doesn't make it not the law. Jackson is a terrible example to use for almost anything, especially given the reason he said "let them enforce it." Separation of powers does not include the executive branch ignoring the SC.

@jesse_ghost @ryanswalters73 @JoeLbsTweet Republicans (“the North”) ignored the Dred Scott opinion. Democrats (“the South”) supported the SCOTUS opinion. The Civil War followed. The term is “SCOTUS Opinion”. Read up on Andrew Jackson for the difference between opinion and execution. Basic separation of powers.

Two birthright citizens, born to illegal immigrant parents from China, tried to bomb an Air Force base on American soil. Whoever they were “subject to the jurisdiction thereof,” it wasn’t the United States of America.
Jennie Taer@JennieSTaer

HUGE: The Chinese-Americans accused of attempting to explode an IED at MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s center in Tampa were anchor babies for illegal parents, colleague @MaryMargOlohan reports. DHS nabbed the duo’s parents, Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, on March 18 for illegal entry. The parents applied for asylum in 1993, but were denied by an immigration judge, who issued them a deportation order in 1998. The Board of Immigration Appeals repeatedly denied their attempts to have their case reopened. Despite the repeated denials for status, they remained in the US. dailywire.com/news/exclusive…

@1TreeInAForest @BasedMikeLee Except that there is no confusion, legally speaking. It has meant what we're saying it means the whole time, clarified multiple times by multiple Courts over 160ish years. There is no confusion, just racism-laced xenophobia.

What did "aliens" mean back then? Also, the confusion seems to stem from the commas between foreigners, aliens and then children of diplomats. Some folks seem to think that the sentence implies that foreigners and aliens are a simply two more ways to describe diplomats of other nations. IE the first two an alternative description of the third. Let's apply this to a directive about which food is being refrigerated. If it said, "this directive shall not apply to potatoes, rice, bananas" I would take that to mean I shouldn't refrigerate those three distinct things. The way other folks read @BasedMikeLee's screen shot essentially suggests the directive about refrigerated food considers rice and potatoes to be a kind of bananas. While it's true aliens, foreigners and diplomats are all people same as potatoes, rice and bananas are all food the are still separate and distinct categories of people and food. Claiming all foreigners and aliens are diplomats, as those in favor of birthright citizenship seem to say, is truly bananas!!!

Thanks for the tip. But, as a Constitutional Conservative American, we tend to use our critical thinking, reasoning, and discernment skills and not blindly follow talking points and ‘to do’ lists sent from headquarters. I will, however, happily celebrate a “No Kings” 250th anniversary celebration on July 4th, 2026. You know, when it’s actually meaningful. Best,

@raznet61 @ryanswalters73 @JoeLbsTweet It was bad law, but law, nonetheless. And, certainly, SCOTUS can offer horrible judgements. Presidential immunity, for another example. But the remedy for bad law is new law, not ignoring the bad law.

@pitzington @GeraldoRivera Arrests typically require evidence to support them. Without it, you get grand juries returning no true bills on your indictments. No true bills are embarrassing as fuck for prosecutors, so they balk at trying to get indictments without evidence.

@AEKouri @ClayTravis But it doesn't apply to the visiting parents, only to the baby, and then only if the parents wish to push the claim. The baby being born here makes the baby a citizen, not the parents.

@ClayTravis Anyone arguing for birthright citizenship does it on an emotional basis. There is absolutely zero logic to make a case that someone here illegally or visiting should be given the privilege of US citizenship.

An American citizen’s baby can’t become a Chinese citizen by being born on the soil of China. Can anyone explain why a Chinese citizen’s baby should be able to become an American citizen by being born on the soil here? It’s absolute insanity.
