@USAmbRSA @WitsUniversity South Africa just being South Africa 🇿🇦
English

I greatly enjoyed my visit to @WitsUniversity, which consistently ranks as one of the premier universities in South Africa, and has deep connections with the United States.
In my meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof. Zeblon Vilakazi and university leadership, we discussed our strong and growing partnership, including Wits’s role as home to the Africa Centre for the Study of the United States (ACSUS) and the IBM Research Lab.
I also genuinely appreciated the chance to engage with bright and inquisitive international relations students on U.S. foreign policy.
Thank you for welcoming me on your historic campus. 🇺🇸🇿🇦

@tlangimich Ya na. The older generation including some of the older Young Lions like Malatji have broken the ANC
English

Honestly, at some point as the younger generation in the ANC. We must all resolve to resign and leave the ANC so that elders who are seemingly determined to destroy their own organisation to the ground can be left alone to kill it as they so wish!
It can’t be comrades! Also we can’t just keep quite as a generation because we want to position ourselves. What kind of a generation would we be? Organisational discipline has never meant that activists and true torch bearers of our hard earned democracy must keep quiet in the face of proportional injustice. The ANC and the people of this country deserve better💔.
There is no other political party currently in the county that has the capacity to surpass AnC’s progressive pro poor policies, its rich history, and its ability to withstand the most difficult of times. This happens because the country’s achievements and freedom was built on the blood and sweat of ANC leaders. Whose spirits will never rest in peace for as long as we refuse to truly renew and change our ways!
We are allowing irrelevant third forces to occupy spaces which ordinarily should be for the motive forces. The truth is we can not continue claiming the badge of being a leader of society when society does not and has no reason to view us as such.

@AdenaanAlbertus @penuelist_ I would like to hear too. Some of these idiots make up nonsense about South African Muslims.
English

@penuelist_ I'm sorry what?
I am muslim, can you explain to me how I live in my own version of Orania?

One thing you can trust about @MYANC they will not disappoint in deploying the most dubious, diabolical & duplicitous cadres to ministries that are supposed to serve the poor. RHA!

English

Minister Sisisi Tolashe treats South Africans like we’re popeyes who can’t read.
Bank records, a payslip and an appointment letter on a ministerial letterhead clearly show that her food aid had half her salary taken away from her.
Unethical, deceitful, unlawful and downright evil...that is the only way to describe the Minister Tolashe’s conduct!
IT IS NOW TIME TO PAY BACK THE MONEY!💰

@Askash @vusi_mygy U will make a smart spokesperson for @the_dtic but hey they focus on nonsense and cadres.

No, this is not another retail mall - it’s a R1.2 billion automotive press plant.
Take a tour of the 32 000 m2 Ogihara South Africa automotive factory and see how parts for Toyota cars are manufactured.
Located in the Dube TradePort’s TradeZone 2 in KwaZulu-Natal, this manufacturing plant is the largest investment within the Dube TradePort. Showcasing the huge success of this Special Economic Zone (SEZ).
Think of a SEZ as a “business-friendly bubble” inside a country. It makes it easier and cheaper to do business. It’s a dedicated area with lower taxes, less red tape, and better infrastructure, designed to attract foreign direct investment and boost job creation.
This plant has created over 250 jobs, and some workers are flown to Thailand for training.
The government is pushing to have 60% of all car production take place locally in SA by 2035. Currently, it’s sitting at about 40%, and this factory accounts for about 2% of that.
While walking through this production facility, I’m reminded of the Japanese Kaizen theory, which I came across while reading The Diary of a CEO.
Kaizen focuses on making small, continuous improvements instead of big changes. It became well known at companies like Toyota, where workers could stop production to fix problems and suggest better ways of working, making the whole system more efficient over time.
Seeing this factory in action, it’s clear they follow that mindset by constantly finding ways to work faster, easier, and better.
I would love to hear what you think of the factory in the comment section below.
