@skooookum Even the real answer that pretty terrifying, because it’s literally cosmic rays hitting the brain of the astronaut and causing them to see things as the ray shreds the neurons in its path. Basically causes super cancer and reduced brain mass if you’re in space too long

The Navy though will take 0 hour dudes guaranteed with a high enough GPA and ASTB score since their pilots keep retiring.

We Europeans generally have no appreciation for the sheer scale of the United States Armed Forces. • Largest & most powerful air force • Largest & most powerful navy • Still arguably most powerful army • Most sophisticated military logistics system in the world. • World’s most effective nuclear capability • US Navy’s own air force is world’s 2nd or 3rd most powerful air force. • US Navy’s own army, the Marine Corps, is one of the most powerful land forces in the world. • The Marine Corps’ own air force is one of the largest and most powerful air forces in its own right. • US Coast Guard alone is one of the largest naval forces in the world. And they do this with a budget of only 3.7% GDP. In the 1980s they peaked at 8%. In the 1950s it was 10%. And they have a big problem with waste and poor contract value. Imagine if they applied some SpaceX style management during wartime full mobilisation…. If they spend 8% today like they did under Reagan, the US military budget would be about $1.8 trillion per annum. Think about that

@ErnestLemingway @cirnosad It’s a two part problem. The metal leading edge of the blade is melted and deformed but you can see the composite blade is frayed and delaminated behind the metal edge.

@juuceboxx @cirnosad Composite blades do not melt and deform. They delaminate. You can look at wind turbine fires to see this. This said, looking at how they bend in different directions I'm inclined to believe that the impact deformation assumption is incorrect.

Anyone with a modicum understanding of physics knows this is a crash. Look at the angular bend on the propellers. This aircraft was shot down. The proximity of the helicopter parts indicate that it was shot down as a unit. This was a mass casualty event for AFSOC. Disaster.

@SE88668164 @AuroraIntel @SR_Planespotter I know, I just used this image to demonstrate what happens to a composite propeller blade in an impact. The blades on the C-130 wreckage are bent, not broken meaning there wasn’t an impact with the ground since composite would not have survived in one piece

Scenes from the FARP align with the US destruction of their own equipment on the evac of the Second Pilot (WSO) from Iran. No impact crater or evidence of drone impacts. Drone would be similar to the E3 in Saudi and a BM or similar scenario would indeed leave a mark.

@mattydunk1988 @cirnosad You’re an idiot, the C-130 uses composite blade propellers which will snap like a twig on impact like this one. The curling is because the composite blades melted from the aircraft being destroyed while it was parked. If it actually crashed there’d be a debris field but it didn’t

US$22 Million vs --- Unit cost of the MC130J is US$114 Million * 2 for each Unit cost of the HH60G is US$288 * 4 between damaged and destroyed A-10 -- irreplaceable Modern F16 - US$100 Million And I haven't included the cost of all the commandos who were killed or wounded in this mission. All to fetch some headlines. Pathetic.

@cirnosad Exactly - site shows propeller and helicopter rotors "powered down" but still rotating during crash. If the fake narrative were true a la "they were intentionally destroyed", we would see parts shattered into much smaller pieces and spread radiating from impact point.
