🚨 Axel Rudakubana had been in possession of "The Al-Qaeda Training Manual" for 3 years before the Southport massacre! Court proceedings today reveal that Rudakubana is being charged with being in possession of the manual between 2021-24 This has dramatic implications: is it that security and counter terrorism services failed to pick up upon Rudakubana's activities, or did they know but fail to sufficiently intervene? Either possibility is sickening... This gets worse and worse.

It unclear as of yet in which capacity this is being implemented. It could be as a result of the majority of victims being young girls. Their identities will already be being anonymised in that they will be referred to as "Child A, Child E etc." It could be that the defence are arguing for Rudakubana to be tried as a child on account of his being 17 years-of-age when the alleged crimes were perpetuated.

Axel Rudakubana's name has been removed from the court listings! It is understood that reporting restrictions will be issued today under the Children and Young Persons Act 1933, Section 49. "No matter relating to any child or young person concerned in proceedings to which this section applies shall while he is under the age of 18 be included in any publication if it is likely to lead members of the public to identify him as someone concerned in the proceedings."
