@ClownWorld That’s how I grew up. Everything was walk up, and watching McDonalds put up indoor seating was a wonder to this then young child.
English

A brand new Wendy’s restaurant has no indoor seating at all so customers order from an exterior window then walk around the building to eat outside. DoorDash drivers enter through special doors to grab orders from pickup screens while everyone else sits outdoors. This is what fast food looks like now with many new locations skipping indoor dining completely and pushing everyone outside.

@wil_da_beast630 A great idea. Roast chicken has the same nutritional value as a soon-to-be roast chicken.

@josephnollasj @JoshuaTCharles Had a Hospitaller for intro to OT. He’s up there translating from original text in real time and I’m thinking “I have a really long way to go.”
English

@JoshuaTCharles Ah yes… the soft, effeminate, pro-Islam Knights Hospitaller with their vows of chastity.
English

Mark Driscoll, who left the Catholic Church, quite literally claims that the way in which the Catholic Church prizes celibacy, virginity, and monasticism primes it to be dominated by Islam, because it makes men “soft.”
Except—it doesn’t. The Catholic Church is still here, and has not been dominated by Islam for the entire 1,400 years of its existence. When Catholics called the Crusades, they prized all the things Driscoll claims are “soft” far more than they do even now.
Some “softening.”
Does he not realize that by this standard, he’s disqualified the vast majority of the greatest saints throughout all of Church history? Most of the Church Fathers (who were extremely hard, tough men) were “soft”? OUR LORD HIMSELF?
Finally, Driscoll says Islam will dominate because it allows polygamy, violence, etc. He obviously does not endorse this. But he seems far more confident in Islam’s ability to transform the world than Jesus’s, who said “the meek shall inherit the earth.”
Just astounding. Let us pray that this fallen away Catholic comes Home! x.com/PastorMark/sta…

@reddit_lies The Iranians are using attack sharks. Do you want to fall behind on a weapon which can swim from salty to fresh water and surrender its life for its cause?

@BackwardsFeet I am not allowed to read the as yet unpublished volumes of the Word on Fire Bible. So there’s that.

Yup, you caught us, Catholicism hates the Bible, and doesn't want lay people reading it, correct.
Now let me take a big sip of water and then take a look at the title and host of the #1 faith podcast for the last 5 years straight

The Roman Catholic "Church" did not give us the Bible. God did. If it was up to Catholics, laymen would be banned from owning a Bible.
English

@oliverburdick You just told everyone in the English speaking world to not sign a birth certificate if it says “father.”
English

The path you’ve chosen to seek conversion is one of lies and fraud. This is NOT Christ’s path.
Why do I have at least one each of the four translations permitted when I was a lay grad student at my archdioceses’ seminary? Why do I have about eight physical Bibles, and many more through Verbum (Logos). I was never on a path to ordination or consecration. Why was I required to take courses in biblical interpretation, read the modern official teachings on scripture from Dei Verbum out? Why do we encourage reading scripture to adults coming into the Church through Lectio Divina?
