Why do @1972SHP @OCR_History Spec B?
Here's a thread of my main reasons for liking the course so much and what makes it so fab for GCSE students.
(I'm in no way paid by OCR - this is just because I want history to be popular, enjoyable and attractive to young people!)

@TMHistoryIcons Follow up question 2b on Paper 1. Huge amount of content across all 4 topics. Esp frustrating is large amount of content for Paper 3 when so little is actually tested. Netherlands for EEE so much going on.

@KatieAmery @EoinCharlesHis @World_Museum This looks great - would love to attend but miles away. Wish it was online.

@MrPattisonTeach @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam We were thinking about first lesson looking at why FP studied and also maps. The ones in the book are too good not to use.

@manda_hist @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam Sounds great. My advice would be to familiarise students with geography first and chronology. Maps and timelines are key. Then dive into the wondrous stories.

@MrPattisonTeach @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam @practicalhisto1 Thanks for sharing. Will look at this properly once in school.

@manda_hist @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam I wrote this for @practicalhisto1 explaining my approach practicalhistories.com/2021/04/from-t…

@MrPattisonTeach @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam We are thinking of dividing into 2 units. First focusing on the impact / importance of the Silk Roads up to c1500. Ideas, religion, trade, disease… Second focusing on C20/21 but not sure yet what the enquiry will be.
English

@manda_hist @MrThorntonTeach @MissHudsonHist @SPBeale @andyhassan1985 @history_sam Main thing to ask really is what were your key takeaways from the book? So many possible lenses to approach it.

Given that, depressingly, the hashtag "sendherback" is trending, I'm very happy to start a #welcomehomenazanin thing, if anyone wants to join in with being pleasant and cheerful.

English

@PearsonHistory @ofqual Hi I’ve been on website and can’t find: Details about the common core and specific choices for each individual specification were published by each exam board. Can you tell me what it is so I can complete the consultation informed. Thanks.
